Layers with Gmap Question

I have a small Gmap that i have added layers, via Gonstruct. Each level has layer 0-2. If you open these levels individually and with a different name they have all layers, however they do not show any layers while in a gmap, or with the current gmap name (if i remove gmap). Also i have opened all levels via notepad++ and the files show all 3 layers, just as the pixel level editor would have created them. I am kinda lost here and looking for some guidance. =[
