Depends on how you look at it I guess! The new craft-able options are GREAT. Especially for newcomers because it now gives them a chance to be able to compete in the PvP realm. It was much needed, and has helped "bridge the gap" between Haunted house drops and "hoping to save up enough ECs to one day get something half decent".
Although, the idea of continually adding more craft-ables that --anyone-- can make eventually reduces the value of the item. The nice thing about monster drops is it gives a true incentive-- how likely is it that anyone else is going to find a _________? Not so likely, because it's all due to the sum of random chance-- so it remains valuable.
These are just my feelings however. I think this is why Zodiac works so well, is because players will spend countless hours grinding dungeons and waiting for "boss re-spawns" for a chance (however small) at ________ item.
