Online Level Editor Help

Hello, Im using Omega's Online Editor it works fine until i write update level then ALL changes disappear.
I am completly confused on why it is doing this.
If i write /find western.gmap it finds it.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I am nearly at the extent of pulling my hair out.

This same exact issue is happening on all servers... editors that were working before are suddenly no longer working...

Something's wrong with Graal? It doesn't make sense...

Also it's happening in both indoor levels and on gmaps.

I've concluded that the savelevel effect, from either savelevel() or levelsautosave=true, are happening in set intervals rather than instantly.

I don't know if this is a deliberate change from Stefan or not, but it sure is annoying and are causing a fair amount of problems.

I know it might not be ideal but why not try using the offline editor or Gonstruct? If you're not on Windows, Gonstruct works.

Gonstruct isn't going to help me.

Yeah, uh, can this be fixed? It's a bit of a hindrance for many servers, including the ones I work at.

It works on Windows too. Just saying the offline editor works.

Seems like an effort to reduce so much writing to disk? Possibly delayed until more resources are available? I don't know. Disk writes aren't the fastest of operations though.

If Stefan and Unixmad are really shutting down part of GScript because they can't fund it, that kinda ticks me off. We did pay for these servers, you know.

It has nothing to do with "shutting down", I'm guessing it was a necessary changes for optimizing. I've several times seen Online Level Editors spam savelevel() on every single tile update, and I can imagine that amount of file writing can take a huge toll on the servers.

It's really not an issue at all as long as the level isn't updated before the save effect happens, which takes a minute at most.

It takes a maximum of two minutes when I tested it. Just FYI anybody who is having similar problems.

maybe writing update level should write the data and save it then update the level? this would make it less data writing so that it isn't writing every 3 secs or so, instead it would make it every few minutes anyway.
