Log-in Server falling asleep

It looks like its having a little bit of trouble staying awake. Anyone who's still in the game can play freely, but sometimes my friends and I are stuck with the

"Connecting to the login server"

message.

Any word on what's causing this?

I think that these errors happen way to often. They should look into a permanent fix to them.

Y'know... reminds me. Is GK ever shut down once a week or on any other sort of regular basis for inspection, maintenance, and just restarting the server to clear out whatever gunk builds up in the programming?

Not kingdoms related.

GK, or any server to my knowledge, doesn't shut down for maintenance. At times of low playercount or attention (idlers aren't attentative) Maintenance's should occur. Weekly would be good, any day.

Given how long the server can run, I believe it seems to be working admirably and surprisingly well compared to everything else.

With everything else in mind though, it might still benefit from some sort of semi-regular dusting. I mean, honestly, how could it not?

when you see tig on he usually does server maintenance. I don't know how often... but he has made comments about this and that happening while he was doing server maintenance. If you notice the gold key quest is working a good bit better, and the stacks of 100's of stuff laying around disappears eventually. so he must be doing something... =)

only if they have the capacity to cool themselves down. most computers aren't made with enough cooling to withstand running for weeks straight. I have seen many Mobo's go out this way... i've never seen a laptop that could lol
