Axes/daggers

I'd love to see these weapons be able to compete with swords, daggers are only good for killing a mass amount of monsters standing on one spot.

Axes: the gani has been broken for about 5 years now, the freeze time should be reduced and the run and swing should be how it used to be.

I've been thinking about a way to get all kind of weapons more friendly and also perform some nice attacks, so freezetime wouldn't be a problem.

Custom attacks could be something GK need, but we also need a targetting system.
Maybe a hotkey that auto-target the nearest ennemy? The custom attacks were supposed to be my next thread after I get job specialities mostly done.

Yeah, i like the axes idea. I dont see a need to update daggers, i just feel that there should be more of them - theres like two useful daggers in the game, Inf. and Vanirs.

I can think of a number of daggers that are useful, as for axes, if you include hammers..*thinks* Well, none of them have elements or can poison if they do have an element..

Well when i talk about axes i mean the gani, so it includes axes and hammers as they use the same, they both swing wrong and have a huge freeze time

Well the role of each type of weapon has to be clearly established, and benefits and drawbacks to all of them so that there is a balance, and option of variety.
Very disappointed to see how daggers give the wielder less freedom of movement than a sword.
Also hammers haven't been done justice, you can land hits, but what do they matter when they come few and far in-between ? A stun effect should be on all hammers. no1 cares for axes so i'll ignore them.

Some sort of visual effect would be nice. Maybe make the other persons screen very faintly blur? And "stun" the other person. You could just make them blink and move slower for a breif second or 2
