Question PS2 and Graal...

First off this isn't a rumor..... simply just a person thinking.
Playstation 2 is adding a new feature (I think in November) where you the gamer will be able to play people from all over! It's online gaming. Currently games are having special expansions made for them like Twisted Metal Black.

I was just thinking about why not put Graal on PS2???
I know there's going to be people saying why not to put Graal on PS2... but that's why I posted it.
I would doubt that this would happen but think if it would! Could Graal get some updated graphics?? Or would you want it to be the same old Graal?
Once again I'd just like to see what people think about this. Mostly the older members because they basically know what can/could/will happen.

That's the stupidest thing I've heard all day. Or week for that matter.

"Hey guys, I've got this great idea! There should be a Graal console game that lets you play with lots of people online! That would be 1337, y0!"

*****.

Stupid idea that would never happen.
If Graal would come to PS2, do you think anyone will actually buy it (other than people play on the original)?

Graal will never sell on shops, doesn't matter if it would be for Gameboy, console, or PC.

Shaun: Even if it was to come on a console, it wouldn't go on that piece of crap of a system. Many reasons why it wouldn't go on that system, such as it being hardest to program for, and Graal would actually use a Loading... thing on this system, so he'd have to supe it up.

Newworld would not look bad on PS2,
but we cannot spend developement time on it
without being sure it gets published,
and its not really so interesting (GBA + mobile phone
is more interesting)

Stefan, if you want the RIGHT system...
Go for GameCube. Nintendo wants games that little kids can play.
Meanwhile over at Playstation, they have more realistic games, rather than cute games for kids.

Why would nintendo allow a game that is a rip-off of their creation? If they thought it was a good idea they would make a Zelda game to be played online.

Idiot. GameCube's a perfectly good system. I'll probably get one somewhere along the line, if only for Metroid Prime...

I think this would be a good idea for the future development of Graal 3D. Having an online 2D game on PS2 is a waste of time and money.

Because they allow playstation(which is a rip-off of Nintendo's orriginal version of the Super Nintendo), to use both the name of their console and the model.
Not to mension Graal is becomming very popular. I can't wait till NW comes out.

Yes, because PS2 forces you to use a certain ISP to play online.

Pretty much your first paragraph made me laugh...because...PlayStation 2 isn't the first console to have Online Gaming. Dreamcast has had it for a long time. X-Box is made for it. So, "online gaming" is nothing new, especially to the PlayStation 2, which is already internet capable in Japan, I believe.

You're wrong. The PlayStation is not a ripoff of the original Super Nintendo. The Super Famicom came out, and Nintendo was looking to enhance it. Thus, Project Atlantis, a joint work between Nintendo and Sony. However, the project split somewhere along the line, and the Super Famicom CD was no more. Nintendo decided to stick with cartridges for its next system, and thus we found the Nintendo 64. Sony took its half of Project Atlantis, mainly the CD idea, and made the PlayStation. There was no "ripping off" involved. I still have a picture of the SFCD somewhere...

Not true either. The PlayStation 2 hard drive will include a port for a broadband ethernet adapter, allowing anyone with DSL, Cable, or similar broadband connections to play online, regardless of provider.

If Dreamcast was alive still then it'd be the best console.

Burn a CD for Graal that's self-booting, then if a new version comes out
then just throw away the old Graal CD and reburn the new version, ta-da.

It's how I emulate NES!

Heh. I don't emulate. If I don't own the game or if I don't rent it...I don't play it...Not anymore, anyways.

I think it'd be much more practical to port it over to Dreamcast via DreamLib, and make an ISO of the files available for download, so people could burn their own copies and save Cyberjouer the cost of publishing and distributing the game.

Actually I read in a Playstation magazine that they are preventing that from happening(can't quite remember how), but they are allowing only IPs from certain ISPs to be allowed into their gaming world.

DreamCast isn't selling any more consoles, so that isn't a very good business idea.
GameCube would be a good idea, or X-Box, because they're both new systems(fresh out of the business world), and they are good systems.

I don't trust magazines. I prefer to stick to official Sony press releases and so forth. Which is where I got my information about PS2 broadband.

They made the CD look black, ooo aaa, they still stole a whole bunch from Nintendo.
If my scanner was working, I would scan the entire essay about how Playstation ripped off Nintendo.

Wrong again. Sony still has alot of surplus Dreamcast systems in stock. That's why the price is dropping to 50 dollars soon, because they need to kill off their stock and get out of the hardware market for good. Dreamcast still sells, though, and sells quite nicely.
