Just like they did to get games like GTA4 and Conkers Bad Fur Day; or was that because they asked their mommies and daddies to buy it for them?

Was Graal ever good? Or did we just grow older and with our age, did our expectations grow and finally we realized Graal never really was as good as we thought it was.

Possibly. Just possibly.

WarLord2004 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
We all know graal was good in the ole days now it's just to simple ... It reach a point where there seems to be no turning back?

at first graal use to have more than 600+ players when i first started that gave me some good feedback to why would people play this game as i got in i got to like it more and more... But now simply looking at a server at the rate of 10 - 20 players a day it gets me annoyed why would someone want to pay for a game that has 10-20 players i mean i already own an account but am speaking of with new servers and even some that has already made classics....

Right now 3 servers on the list draws closely to 100 players limit .... Reason so no one wants to play the other middle class or lower class server because the server is not over populated people love to play on servers that are very active but since we have a system that seems to only depends on money it's not going to help other playerworlds...

So its just not being fair... I mean it's not like we now can hold 2000 players we can because graal servers are now in the USA and else where...

So why not do a change in plans and make graal come back to life...
Like it use it.... am sure stefan and unixmad is not happy with seeing only 13 - 20 players on Kingdoms and then 23 - 30 players on zone?

Playercount doesn't really represent quality though.

When Graal was originally just the Classic server, it had ~200 players. Sometimes 300 on a very good day. When more servers came around the playercount started to increase. Once Graal went P2P everything went to hell and many left Graal and playercount dropped a lot. It's just been downhill from there.

Back when I played Classic I sometimes quested... not much though. Most quests were either broken or full or something of the sort. What did I do? I passed my time on Graal by either PKing, participating in throne wars, or guild wars, trash talking or some other sort of mindless thing I have absolutely no interest in anymore. A couple years passed and I got into development and never played again.

Really, Graal hasn't changed, just my interests. I hate PKing now, I abhor the trash talking crap that Graal had going back then, and I can't stand to really stay on more than a few minutes because I quickly get bored. Of course, this is just me but I think as every player grows up their interests start to change and mature. What was fun for us back then is not anymore, even though it's exactly the same.

I'm not saying Graal is still good these days, but just the fact I think it was just as bad back then as it was today, but it was free so people sucked it up and found ways to enjoy it. Simple isn't always bad, but simple without refinement is. Graal has a lot of potential, but it still, after 10 years, hasn't been unlocked. I think 2k1 was the prime of Graal, but Graal still needs so much more.

I used to be amused by using little explosive weapons to kill bushes in Babylon's bush house.

Something like that wouldn't be fun anymore.

Probably because expectations have gone up.

There aren't really less developers, they're just more spread out, and the standard of quality for scripts has gone up.

Yep, Graal was fun way back when every server was filled with enough people to enjoy it. But as time passed by with no updates or new interesting features, it just died out. Look at Graal Kingdoms for an example. That used to be the peak of Graal for me until I realized that there were never any major updates or resets and it had the same content for over 6 years. Same monsters, same items, same quest, same map.

You can't have a game with the same features for over a long period of time. Games like World of Warcraft use the same concept as most MMORPGs do. But they keep their game updated and add new features to it periodically which keeps the game entertaining. Why pay for Graal when there are hundreds of FREE online games out there that actually keep the game new and interesting?

But to be honest, Graal is pretty much dead at this point in my opinion. I can't really see it going anywhere from here after going so long without adding anything interesting. There are enough bad reviews for Graal to the point where I don't think anyone new is going to try it out.

I see it basically as dead as well, I don't foresee a lot of people resubscribing in the upcoming year.

hi5 chris ohai meph !1

It'd be stupid to delay the development much more now without a Manager. Re-hire Icarus & Frankie.
