Management resignation
 

Icarus (Manager) and myself (Administrator) have both stepped down from our positions.

Just thought I'd inform you all.

For those who hated us, hopefully you're happy :)
For those who liked us, sorry to let you down.

I'll be sticking around unless Houdini decides to ban me.

Edit: David (GP Chief) and EC (GP) has left also..

What happened ?

No offence but how many times have you quit and end up comming back within a week? This is like the 3rd or 4th time. :whatever:

Wouldn't be surpised if he did come back.

I'm intrested in what happened to lead to this though, is it because of the reset?

Houdini played a big part in our resignation.

When Icarus was made manager, he was told that PWA would not interfere. Houdini broke that when he decided to log on and start a development project without consent from myself or Icarus. We both strongly disagreed with what Houdini wanted to do. Now, we didn't mind that Houdini wanted to lead a development project, but when it's something that's completely stupid and something that Icarus and I don't agree on, we don't want it happening. Houdini basically forced it upon us and eventually threatened our jobs for it. When we got Bell involved, he backed off and tried to play it off as some stupid test on Icarus, hah.

(keep in mind we had a lot of past problems with Houdini, even before Icarus was manager)

Fast forward a few weeks.

We were looking for a dev server. A private server where we could develop things without having to worry about effecting the live server. We had some projects planned, and Andy had a lot of things planned as far as rescripting major systems. Stefan would not give us a 6 month dev server, just a 30 day one. We wanted to spend a lot more time with it than 30 days, but he wouldn't budge. Andy scripted a custom weapon for a player that provided us money for a dev server. Big red flag obviously, but you have to realize that no matter how dumb and stupid it sounds, all we were trying to do was purchase a private server to benefit Era. We had no intentions to use this for personal gain.

We were able to put that behind because Bell saw where we were coming from and supported us to not get fired and banned :P Bell told me just as long as Stokell was not getting a staff job that it would be fine. Houdini still kept telling players he wanted to give me a punishment of 3 months or something.

Fast forward to today!

Houdini came online to resolve a ticket about USDing. He brings up the whole dev server-USD issue. I argue with him, etc etc. I insulted him (edited by Sam) and he d/c'd me and said that he was "SO close to firing me." Told me if I said anything sexually explicit towards him again, I would be fired. Okay cool.

We kept arguing, and eventually Houdini is starting to say that "players are clamoring for your removal" ... "I get PMs asking when I'm taking over" or something along the lines of that.

Icarus logs on... He finds out what Houdini said. He started arguing with Houdini, and Houdini put us both on probation. Icarus resigns, then everything just went downhill from there.

I tried to sum it up as best as I could. I might be missing a lot of info.

How did he even find out about it?

Possibly a ticket, maybe a player. Or he just looked at the logs if he could do that? Could've just asked Bell. Dunno.

I don't want to jump to conclusions but it could of been TSA. Or a ticket. Andy massed it out and someone might of put it in a ticket and complained.
