Is this such a terrible thing to look out for the best interest of all involved?
It is a very noble and honorable thing to do to look out for everyone's best interests. However, Graal Online has a responsibility to please the renters just as it has a responsibility to please the players. It seems to me that the only people you really care about making happy are the players, and that is, in my opinion, what people are upset about. Do not forget, Moon God, the renters are paying customers too - what's more, paying more than the players do.

-- EDIT --
I also would like to add that the rules that are in place now are well thought out, and I do agree with them. (I took the time to review them again.)

A nice happy ending too bad these things dont always end this way.

To others: This is how a good debate should go. No insulting others and a respectful ending.

I added on to my previous post, saying that I do like the way things are going. I was just pointing out the one thing that is being overlooked amongst all this mess.

Thats where my view is coming from at first glimse they may look bad but to actually put them in place most people find out they already are doing that way.

To be fair, i even emplore stronger right restrictions then are supposed to be required, thats why i brought up the point of people protecting it themselves. Before i already learned of the rules i was a rights tyrant, to protect it myself.

That point was not lost on me and at one point in time I sincerely hope there is some sort of compensation arrived at for the people who so diligently work on the PlayerWorlds of Graal besides a "free month".

I had set own attributes and rw WEAPONS/osrs while working for N-Pulse as NPC team, i think that's enough for the securirity of the playerworld.

Myself being a major researcher on dedicated servers, I find that on average, a $100/month server is plenty to run a small game, 4-5 for a medium, and 8-12 on a large (unless each server requires a enormous amount of power, in which case the numbers would be different). Plus most places give discounts for owning multiple servers. For a game such as Graal, making $10,000 on playerworlds alone is a large improvement as to a few years ago where all they had were gold accounts that got access to a few servers, and the forums. Then before that when we didn't have to pay for diddly squat.
Eh, Graal owns space in 3 major datacenters, They run almost all Dual Xeons with a min of 1Gig ram, You have _no_ idea of the price of bandwidth when your purchasing Transit, It's a hell of alot more than 100/month. You're talking about Renting Servers from some third party like servermatrix, Graal has never cheaped out when it comes to servers and bandwidth. Alot more expensive than 100
