I HIGHLY doubt you could script 700 lines of 1 NPC in a bank system that follows you in your inventory as a weapon in 2 hours from nothing but scratch.

I wouldn't use 700 lines, you dolt. Mine would probably be done in something like 50.

GIFs have a lot to do. You have to script gifs in. if(weaponfired){ then script the gif here }

That's not about making graphics, though. Just using them.

It all depends on how you define lag. By the traditional meaning (ie internet latency), it can be bypassed. You might mean clientside slowdown, though.

A good rain system won't lag no matter how slow your modem is because it's clientside.

I REALLY hate to argue about ****, but the bank NPC HAS to be 700+ lines. Unless I want to make it a shitty one that takes about 5 minutes (which I don't)

Easy. Timevar almost does that for us. We just need to make the time ratio 1:1. Of course, there's the problem with time zones...

Right now, (heh no one knows much about it because I haven't said much) I am making a time system that runs off of your computer. Say it's rainy in Chicago, yet hot and dry in Houston. The people in Chicago (or near such as Geovanie) will see rain, but people in Houston (Nate,King Arthur,Appolo) will see it is hot and dry.

Such a thing is impossible. Graal cannot access that information - it would have to be inputted manually. AND it would be a bad idea for many reasons.

Radio: hooked up to a radio station near me (with permission) so you could ACTUALLY listen to real music and not little tiny 30 second long midis. Yes these buffer through my 2nd computer (cable so it runs all day long 24 hours a day) and it converts the songs into midis to run through your computer. Yes it had a bit of lag and I was going to put it up on Graal at the end of the summer, but like I said the virus wiped my C drive.

You're saying it streams directly from a radio station onto Graal's servers?

I actually kinda hate it when non-scripters go around saying who is the best. In truth, the only people capable of gauging who is better than who are the expert scripters themselves.

And even then, great scripters don't necessarily know about other scripters. I don't know how good Tyhm is, for example, because I'd need to see some things that he has achieved. I'm really fuzzy on who exactly is the best, and certainly too fuzzy to make a definitive ordered list.

C++ isn't necessary. If anything, Graal is a good way to learn C++.
