Becoming a global

Just out of interest, how does one become a global? And actually qualify for a global position?

There aren't any qualifications anymore. I think there used to be an age limit, but that rule left when galen quit.

Most globals become one by association. I was hired by Nemesis and Alkaren because I was already in a high position (GP Chief on Classic), and so they trusted me. The past few globals that have been hired weren't hired through official tryouts, but by knowing high admins who gave them recommendations. There were a couple PWA tryouts back when Spark was the Admin, but those are long gone.

I think the only way to become a global now is by being selected.

Hey, I know soem globals/past globals

Who want's to be global anyways, ugh people always bugging you, if your PWA your, at least SUPPOSED to work alot. Ugh, no thank you!

I think thier still is Playerworld Admin Team tryouts every 2 years or something like that or in other worlds very rarely

Why would anyone want to know how to become global?
Ive known plenty of the past globals, that obviously dosent help.

Its all about who Stefan and Unixmad can/will trust, and that gets harder and harder to get the more people who abuse that trust.

Sucks for graal because like ive probably said 1000 times before, they are losing a lot of good potiental staff members because they wont trust anyone.

I don't see why anyone would be interested in jumping into the action of what the PWA receives. I'm sure you're believing "Well, if I get hired I could change it all." Not happening, people in high positions always receive negativity, regardless of how well they're doing with the position. Plus, I haven't seen anyone ANYWHERE that I believe could even be considered qualified.

Step 1.) Become friends with globals.
Step 2.) Join guilds/businesses/gangs/etc. that globals are in.
Step 3.) Be high staff in imporant players.
Step 4.) You should know how to script and making levels and GFX are also good.

not being a "Staff Member" with no compensation is not something to be upset about, it is not has if Graal is some prestigious organization that people would be fighting to work for for free.

I'm just going to put in my two cents(even though they do not matter). But I've worked with MoonDeath on 2 servers I now believe. He did help out alot with more than just scripts. His scripts were amazing though. He will always be a trusted staff and friend to me.

Don't hate! Appriciate!.. Although HoudiniMan hates me for a unknown reason I tried saying Hello to him on #gscript and he replies "I don't like you" wonder what exactly I did to tick him off as far as the other globals I think most of them don't have a problem with me.

Like I said, it is dependant upon whether high admins find you as trustworthy.

True, but it does play a role in it I need more then that to become one but my acts lately on the whole Malinko situation was immature and I've had at least 2 outbursts like that I suppose the pressure of things in real life right now have been making me act very immature towards other users lately, even if I were a global right now i'd suggest Stefan remove my admin level temperarly till I can get my act together. Even on #gscript last night I was acting a little foolish, but people do make mistakes, in general no human is perfect in any formation so don't look at me like i'm the worst person in the world.

Moon...just let it go...just let it go...Are the many global positions that are open, or that are looking for people to hire? If there are, I don't know about it. Well, I think theres one spot open for PWA that opened recently, but not too many people have a chance at getting that.

Aye, I wish someone would close this thread all together it's getting on my last nerve. By the way they will pick anyone over me because of the way i've been acting lately and i'm starting to want to quit graal because of this thread alone.
