It's not because we don't enforce some rules on graal that they are allowed.
You will see soon that some unfriendly behaviours will be stopped on graal.

You'd just ruin it then.

I have already said that 10 times but we want the forums to be a friendly place.

Forums are a public place and you are not allowed to do in public what you can do in private.

If a moderator got out of hand, you would easily be able to contest it, ASLONG as you were in the right and could prove it, as far as I'm concerned.

Zim, don't play around, in game is moderated differently than the forums. Considering it is run by players for players, and can not be run by proper staff all the time on all servers.

That was just one example.

Personal attack against someone: 1 Point
- This is all a matter of opinion, some of the posts I've made about Sam recently could be seen as "personal attacks" but they were not.
Inappropriate Language: 1 Point
- There is a filter for this.
Posting Non-Graal related links/url's: 1 Point
- These links could be removed, threads moved.
Signature/avatar/custom title violation: 2 Points
- Easily removed upon request or edited.
Discussing bans: 2 Points
- Again, thread can be closed due to the rules.
Evading the curse filter: 2 Points
- Not that big of a deal, can be moderated.
Insulted other member(s) and Inappropriate language: 3 Points
- I could take an offence to some of the things a moderator has said, as I have, does this mean they would get a point? It's all based on opinion.

Recreating deleted/closed thread: 2 Points
- This is the only one I agree with.

To be honest the moderators are doing a fine job in keeping these type of "crimes" at bay, this infractions idea just looks like having a reason to ban people.

Moderators will decide in good faith like are doing police or judge in real life.

When someone is breaking rules if he/she rarely do it then he will just receive a warning, if he is well known to break rules then he will receive zero tolerance.

We can give infractions, we must not do it. Its a kind of control system for both. Users will check if they are on a bad way, mods can give you a "yellow card" without points, but also a "red card" which means 1-3 points.
You know how much posts with spam like "looooool" in the forums. We dont warn a user who do it once or twice, but if someone do it by 50% of his posts, he deserves a infraction.

@Rufus:
Members pay no attention when things are simply removed, moved, edited, whatever.
There is absolutely no excuse for the actions of a lot of members of these forums, and hopefully this will put a stop to it.

New members, unpopular members, unknown members cannot even post on these forums, particularly in the Development forums or the playerworld hiring forums without getting attacked to death, and it makes me sick.
they have just as much right to post here, and be treated with respect, as anyone else who is "popular" on these forums. This treatment of these members makes me very angry.

We asked if the moderation could be relaxed when you guys asked us what we thought, and then you turn around and make it more strict? Pathetic.

Why you think its going to become more strict now? Please, wait and see how its going in the future. Don't judge now how it will be in the future.

How isn't it more strict? Now it is two or three infractions and you're banned for a week. The forums were strict before but this is a new level. Forum bans will be on the rise, and then eventually people will be too afraid to post unless it is "Tra lala I love Graal, have my money unixmad, moderators are great".

I totally agree, I'm also sick of the treatment that new users and developers are treated, and the way they feel like they have to join in to fit in. I feel however that this new system will be used in personal vendetta's against certain people. I think the punishments should fit the crime, rather then being based upon points.

I haven't had any trouble with people attacking me since I started posting on the forums.
The only person that's been mean to me so far is Stephen.
And now Devil.

With what Darlene says, I agree.

I watch one person who asks for new people to join his playerworld, get attacked because he went under another alias (however many days/months/years ago) and 98% of people in that thread gave the guy a hard time because of what he done in the past.

It's very unfair, if you do not like the person, it's easy as not posting in his thread and let the thread run it's course. If it is not correct (as a thread) let it be closed on it's own behalf, instead of being closed or posts being deleted because people don't like that person, or what is being said.
