One of the most common theories is that all life on the Earth evolved from one single organism. Perhaps it was a few, but it's clear that evolution can change two organisms drastically.

I believe in an omnipotent being creating the universe, but whether he fits our description of "god" remains to be seen. I don't believe in the Bible, since it has already been proven wrong so many times.

And Dante, the Mayans wrote that it would occur during the winter solstice of 2012, which I think is December 21st. I don't think this can ever be proven correct or false until 2012 passes. Just like we waited for 2000 to pass.
