I really only quit because I was getting sick of Era RC and it's current condition..
I came back because I was doing Jack a favor and was helping him with some stuff. Seeing as how the server is down I kinda can't finish that.

That's why Dem and that are there to make the condition of era alot better but i guess they haven't so far which is dissapointing since i thought Dem would of done an excellent job. Not just Dem though it's his staff that arn't doing the work letting the server down also.

Your criticism might hold weight if you had actually been a decent, even sub-par manager.

Let's avoid attacking each other. We know Era's down, we know I've e-mailed the people necessary to get it back ASAP, and we know that its being down has nothing to do with a reset or even a closure of the server. That said, the next attack on another player or current/ex Staff (This being aimed at such quips being made by Daz and MontyPython inclusive) will see this thread closed, and the discussion about Era's crashing terminated.

It's pushing 36 hours now, and I've yet to hear back from any of the e-mails I've sent out. For the time being, I'd advise anyone who plays Graal just for Era: If you're not interested in jumping on another server with a bunch of friends or anything, use this time to sit and think about what you need to do around the place. Maybe you could end up posting a thread like Door's and show everyone that you had a chance to clean your room Or Idle on the Login server and gain more hours than that "graalstats" kid, I dunno.

As soon as I hear about Era's return, assuming someone doesn't get in before me, I'll be sure to post the news.

Yeah, I'm using my spare time that was used on Era more constructively. Not just me, but Montgomery as well. We occasionally go on Graal Ghetto and start filing complaints to various staff/players about the lack of originality the server has. There is a lot of content that is quite obviously stolen from Era. I sent a message to the PR there, she didn't reply. I bet she really couldn't SAY anything, really.

But yes, we are exercising our conversation skills. This time away from Era is half painful, and half refreshing.

Only two people have been allowed to look through Vesporia (who aren't staff).

graal ghetto is loving this because their server is hitting 30 - 50 player count. that server sucks so much ass it's not even funny. I'm going to laugh when their player count drops back to 10 (probably with 5 RCs included, hardly count that) when Era comes back.

Haha did setting off alot of P4's really crash the server? It seems like it could. I dunno, there should be someone to take the place of Stefans role while he is away, so his paying customers don't have to wait around on this kind of stuff. People tend to forget that this is actually a game that we pay to play and that we should be treated as customers, not impatient graalians

Naw. I once blew up 300+ P4s in my testlevel, didn't even produce a noticable server lag.

I actually did that with 3 others. I know it could be deadly when done during a gang fight or on the gmap, but nobody does that

Honestly, from a players point of view. I feel Era needs to be placed on another server, by itself. When your in a gang fight.. thats pretty much the only fun thing on Era. All you do is lag. Even people running on high exceleron PC's are lagging? It needs fixed. Staff wonders what draws players and what makes them stray, I feel if the lag was reduced and the weapon variety was large.. but you could only really afford possibly one major weapon and a sidearm, Era would be amazing!

Era doesn't have major problems with lag in my opinion. It runs perfectly on both of my Windows computers, and my MacBook Pro (Intel Graal ftw). The Windows computer rather suck (they're like 3-4 years old).

James has a point. We already asked Stefan several times to be moved to another machine, some months back when some stuff on Zodiac was causing some huge CPU usage which pulled down Era.

That is true Dusty. And Chris, you obviously wern't on/in a level during a time of 2-3 gangs raiding eachother. Someone can stand in the corner and fire off thier PL-9 for flak or flamethrower and it lags the **** out of me, and everyone else. Same with the person using it. Its bad sometimes. But when its just a few people. Ohhh Era's great =)

That's called client lag, which is usually caused by a bad computer, or bad scripts. Client lag doesn't affect the rest of the server.

I doubt that servers will be taken off without any further notice, especially ones in the classic list. I suppose the gserver had a failure or something and just won't reboot.
