There's nothing wrong with the current system.
The only thing I would change is so that you can't drop levels.
For example say you are level 3.
You needed 4000exp points to get there so now you have reached that level you can't drop below 4000exp.
Once you are at that amount though and you die you should lose a small amount of money.

That would be good, I hate trying so hard to get to level 3 and get killed by a sorcerer with lag storm or by the monster while i'm lagging and go back to level 2

Edit: Maybe you could lose money and if you didn't have enough then you could lose exp, but it's just a suggestion.

The best character I've had thus far reached level five before any of these dungeons were out, and that was without the help of woodsman or any such thing. It's possible to get to high levels without dungeons, but rather tedious and plain annoying. :o
