He runs how many servers for Graal? And if there so concerned about server support/cost, they wouldnt host/run playerworlds. Release the G-Server again. Most of the new G******* projects look way better than anything Graal currently has.

No. They won't release the G-Server again. They need the business from graal to afford to live. This is their JOB. It's how they put bread on the table and afford a house and an office. Stop thinking unixmad is an evil overlord bent on screwing you out of money: He's not.

Graal isnt worth paying for as it currently is. Bring back the community, the older pk tags, more skill players, and the rest of the old stuff without the new features and it will be worth it. Well, maybe keep some of the new features, but most of them suck.

Then you go make a game for a living with a full salary staff with no money to pay them with besides out of your own pocket.

It's not a question of features. It's about working for a living, which is something unixmad has to do seeing as how he's in his thirties. Some people still pay for Graal and that's what matters to him, this business helps him put food on the table at night and give him a place to sleep.

I would donate and stuff, but my ATM card isn't a checking account, only savings, so I can't use it as a credit card. Maybe when I get a checking account. =\

Oh yes.

Unixmad is keeping all the money he gets from Graal.

Umm no. I bet Unixmad has to take up 2th and 3rd jobs lol

HE has to pay for:

servers
5 staff people (he said this in a post before if i'm correct)
living costs
office costs
pay Stefan

Thats just for Graal . I'm sure he has other bills like electric , water , food , etc.

Plus he probably has bills from all the years he paid for Graal while not having p2p server.

Does Classic still have "ads" like it used to?

I don't think it has ads anymore.

He also has to pay for all the domain names that he got, plus the cyberjoueur ones and stuff. Maybe when I get money I will buy a Graal License.

That always made me laugh...

I liked old graal when it was young, no complicated scripts just everyone having fun...

Thumbs up Old and site and support

That's really nice to read messages where you support what we are doing.

That’s right that Graal cost a lot of money:

* We have dedicated Bandwidth, currently 15Mb/s
* Two full racks with a lot of computers
* Office in Paris (that cost a lot)
* Salaries: next week we will be 8 full time peoples on the company

- 2 peoples making graphics
- 2 programmers (Stefan and a new one that is starting this Monday)
- 1 programmer to make PHP code and web site
- Me
- Someone that is translating Graal in other languages
- Starting next week we will have a full time Game Master (someone that you all known but keep the name secret for now)

All this cost a lot and with subscriptions we don't pay half of the charges...

About the old Graal, I have found on the archive.org a older web pages from 1998 ! Who have played this version ?
