The only good idea to fix the economy that i've read on these forums was that Era should have all guns available and the store NPC's can buy back guns. That way theres a Maximum and a minimum amount a gun can be sold for.

Anyways, I agree with Komali, the staff team Era has imo is pretty smart and will find a way to resolve this in a way that there isn't to much damage done.

And @Name, i'd like to think not. Once Era resets, why would we want to allow the people who ruined the economy to come back and be allowed to do it again?

I think they should unban most everyone that hasn't had anything to do with destroying the economy.

And buisnesses like Dairy Hut and Dippin Donuts have a hard time making 10k a week. Player owned businesses don't seem to be a problem to me, especially with the new system coming out (if it comes out)
Actually Danny fiery has made 30-40k a week and that adds up which can make you rich. 40k in one week is a lot for one week.
Player owned businesses should just be npc owned.

He did not make 40k a week, maybe ammo mart earned 40k, but at LEAST 20k of that went to the miners and stockers. And i'm pretty sure Ammo Mart almost never makes 40k a week.

Sell all of the guns in different shops, and allow the players who "race" for the most money to own them. The TOP guns should not go over 60k in this new Era.
Btw, what's going to happen with gangs Chris?

Might as well unban everyone, start a new. Either way, as premature as this reset is, it will be successful because everyone "wants" it to be successful... well everyone just wants it to come, which is enough. False promises will just jeopardize that, none of these solutions / speculations that have been the discussion for the past few years will ever see the light of day. Era was functional (fully), without them and will remain so. Every couple of years, Era will need a reset, its inevitable (its been like this). Reset isn't news to the server, just get on with it. Like we say on the ball courts after a hype-play, "LETS GOOOO!!!!".

No matter what is happening on a server hacking is still illegal. Chris was probably on Dev when this was happening or it was just to hectic to deal with you at the moment. This has been happening a lot since word of era's situation has spread. It doesn't matter what situation a server is in, it is always illegal to take participation in.

He told me that new era wont have gangs. Instead, it will have "skate teams" that go to weekly skateboarding competitions together.

Tony Hawk's Era sounds great.

Also relying on a rollback was just a bad decision.

This is great, congratulations to the glitchers. They help to speed up the pace. Although they do make Vimes work harder than he has to (which I dont like to see). But in my opinion, Era was just so incredibly boring as it was, it can be fun to have chaos every once and a while.

I'm not fully familiar with how the economic system on Era works at the moment. Although, as the players make more money and the money supply grows, does the prices respond? If not, it will just cause inflation.

I think that prices should rise accordingly with the money supply, just monitor the capital flow and set the price.

However, I don't think that the guns from the normal gun shop should rise as much, due to the fact that new players should be able to get a gun as well.

Pherhaps this has been suggested millions of times before..oh well..
