I think I've got a pretty good one, but I'd need someone with a degree in Flash (or at least vector art) to do the finishing touches.

First logo: Vaguely iconic of a Graal.
Second logo: it can rotate into a G, and thus spell out the website header.

Hmm, I've had logos made cheaply in the past. If you know what you want, you can get it done rather cheaply. You really dont need to go down the whole £400,000 LONDON 2012 olympics route.

The two logos were $120 each, and the other thing is some random image a friend did. There are skilled people out there that will work for little/nothing.

Ignore the **** quality of the clanjam one, I saved it as a gif in paint by accident.

I have an idea, but probably shouldn't say. But if it is for that, then they really should get one professionally made unless someone on here makes one a lot better than the examples posted so far.

The icon? It's a vaguely meaningful, easily reproducable, geometric shape. Pepsi's logo doesn't say PEPSI, but it has been associated so closely with Pepsi for so long that we see it and say "Oh. Pepsi." So it doesn't Mean anything (though if you flip it over and extend the centerline, I think you'll be amused).

As for rotating it, the icon Could be animated into "And now it's a G! Then the 'raal Online' fades in, and there's the logo.", but that would require a vector graphics animator (one that stores the image as a series of geometric functions, eg "Circle with 3 lines" rather than "A bunch of pixels") such as Adobe Flash to animate it smoothly. (I suppose I could pixel animate each frame manually, but it'd be so much easier with a decent vector program...I just don't own one myself.)

Sorry to treat you like an idiot, but you didn't really specify which part you didn't understand, so I have to assume "All of it". Apologies if you've known Vector Graphics and Iconography all along.

Pepsi's logo is meaningful as it's on the billboard I drive past on the way to work, the vending machine at work, the shop on the way home, my fridge and on my tv. Product placement! It works as it's out there, it wouldn't really work for Graal in the same way.

Technically, there is nothing wrong with it, but at the same time as Graal is so small I think you need something that is related and meaningful to the game.

I saw the G in the 2nd one, I just didn't see what the first one was about, and assumed there was some meaning behind it.

I do think the best potential thing would be like these images:

But just the shield part with 4 images of relevance.

I rather like the concept behind Tyhm's last post (the second one in specific). Maybe shape that into the newbie head or something somehow?
