MOONIE! Do you have any logic in that thing that you call a brain!
Read my posts again and think about them this time!

GOD YOU REALLY BUG ME!

Loriel as a global was doing his job, by showing people the flaw.
He did make an attempt to contact Tux, it is not his fault Tux did not respond.

Look Loriel it is apperent that you did this because you wanted to prove a point and you did, I'm happy for you. In this case I dont really think you would need to be banned. But I do think its unfair had someone who is non global done this they would have been banned. I think graal as a whole needs to stop being so ban happy.

How do you know someone that does not have global rights would be banned?

Well, to go off-topic from this accusatory cavalcade for a moment, but perhaps remaining on-topic to the thread in general, I think this is a very nice addition. It'll add some nice options to formatting posts and perhaps conserve space as well.

Loriel I see how you were trying to demonstrate how that feature could be abused yet your methods for doing so are flawed. In my opinion, you shouldn't be banned, but the rules aren't my opinion. Because of your actions you should be banned though.

hehe, if we can't trust Loriel, why does he have global RC?
Geez, I mean if we can't trust anyone we meet on the internet, then why do we have people with Global RC or Supermod powers? I mean, I haven't met them personally, and I doubt Unix or Stefan has...

Good grief, if you're going to ban him for getting his point across in this, obviously, discussion-worthy method, do it. It'll just reveal you as a hypocrite. Good grief, if he was actually stealing passwords, he should definitely be banned. But, all he did was create something to definitively prove the security issue of the new feature.

I am done with this conversation, you talk in circles Loriel...and what you are saying here is different then what you said on AIM.

I will say this...if anyone EVER does something like this again, I dont care who it is, and I dont care what reason you have for doing so....I will not hesitate to ban them, let this be fair warning

"the people" did not need to see the flaw, only the person who can fix it needed to see it, and saying "I tried to contact so and so, but he ignored me" sounds like what the members said in the illegal threads that are removed all the time...I dont do double standards

Indeed.

And:

Discussions of bans are not permissible. If you have a question about a ban or would like to make an appeal, contact the relevant administrator by Forum PM (Private Message) or by e-mail.

If you feel that you have been wronged by a moderator, contact a higher member of staff such as a supermod or admin, and calmly explain the situation. Do not disregard what you have been told, regardless of whether or not you consider it fair or reasonable.
Moonie, stop discussing whether I am to be banned. Instead, you should contact a higher member of staff and calmly explain the situation.

They were scammed into doing so. Scamming = illegal.

And since nobody can point a finger as to what rule he broke, I will. He (attempted anyway) to scam people of their accounts. I'm sure it's in the ToS, but I can't find it in the trainwreck of a website.

He did not try to scam anyone out of their accounts, as has been duly noted.

People, nobody is arguing against a ban because of Loriel's position. They're arguing against a ban because there is no reason to administer a ban.

Trying to steal passwords? I know Loriel wouldn't doing anything with it, it's the fact that he even tried to set it up in the first place.

Do you think anyone would of even thought of that? So why not just PM MagicalTux, it's not like you were in a big rush to save the community.
