Actually, it may be possible to use a bed in a house as a restart point, have a full army pass over the bed, then use it later to unstick to.

I don't know for sure but I think you can set a restart point to any location by placing a bed on normal terrain momentarily.

It would be tricky not to touch any other restart points, you would have to steal a boat at sea and leave in your own kingdom waters (so not to touch a dock) and couldn't use a dungeon entrance (more restarts there).

On the whole, the problem is that the overland is clumsy and time consuming, and while unstick was not for travel, it helped balance it in a playablilty way.

Now the unstick 'problem' is fixed and the two imbalances are not cancelling each other out anymore. Which is fine, but the remaining issue should be fixed.

Maybe a 'phantasmal steed' spell where you can summon a horse for travel, but it uses your mana up while you ride and dissapears if you cast as spell. (after a few 'wars' with a certian kingdom... I wish normal horses dissapeared when the rider tried to cast spells )

"Why, of course! It's just a name, like the Death Zone or the Zone of No Return. All the zones have names like that in the Galaxy of Terror."
