Believe it or not, but you're right. I know I have been quite inactive recently, and I intend to change that. Real life kinda kicked in recently, as well as other activities in the private sector. There's a saying here that the realization of one's own mistakes is the first step towards improvement. Let's hope this one works out here, too
I cannot say when the next event will be, except that I will try to make it soon, and I say for sure that there will be people who miss it due to timezone issues. Well... point taken, now let's see what we can do.

Some more RP-based EM's would be nice. The 'here's shiny object. You all go in arena, and the person who's the last to be in, gets shiny object' events suck.

Not really - saturday's 24 hours long, and even if everyone would play for hours, there's a chance that you 'd miss a large number of players - there's no way to avoid that.

Satrek should be made into a GamesMaster, and have some authority over the running of kingdoms. Then we'd have strong RPing and no need for that many RP events

Also, hm, i've seen some events lately, darklux held some yesterday and there was a waterglass not so long ago...they're more active now than they have been in the past, i know that. But i dunno, i still think that some events (probably bigger ones) should be announced on the forums like a day before, cos i often miss events due to doing other stuff and not being on when the EMs go "hosting an event in 5 minutes, kthxbye"

While I wouldn't mind getting more and more power , I wouldn't want to oversee kingdom roleplaying. I don't believe in forced roleplaying, and I know that different players have different ideas of what roleplaying means. While I believe I can tell roleplaying from not roleplaying, who am I to judge character histories and such? It'd be personal opinion, and nothing to base any reaction upon. Still, I do feel honored

We have had some active ones, for a little while.

Sutekh, Jagen, and someone else.

I know people have things to do and stuff, but could there be one or two more? Like I know sutekh had a event the other day with no prize, but it was still fun, we need people like him to make it better!

It might be a lot easier if you can get some more people. My friend and I have been working on ton's of events. We have been researching every detail of every town on Main and Kingdoms. We have pages of ideas. Plus he is on like everyday so there really wouldn't be too much of a problem with inactivity. He would also do events that are related to graal, not hold an event where people just punch in a number betwen 1 and 4 and see who can guess the right number the fastest. those are lame. He has quite a few RP events set up. Only if you would give him a chance.

I wouldn't mind hosting a few events... I can prolly salvage up some prizes for people... but I would really like to see EMs utilize Event Coins more often... people get angry when they win a tooth and I walk away with a Black Star Wizard Hat... plus I have a sure fire way to turn those spar tourneys completely around

Björn and I will see to getting some candidates - it remains like this, do not apply, as we don't take applications. If you think that us chosing new EMs is unfair and corrupt, think about this: if we were taking applications, we could make corrupt decisions and be unfair just the same, so we can just stick with the other way and trust in our corruptness being hidden deep enough not to show up anytime soon.

I think the amount of Event Coins you get for certain events also are a little bit on the low side. Perhaps they should be higher for RP events, to promote people to RP more often.

And a person should automatically lose an RP event for continuously talking OOC
That would be great. It would keep people from saying things like "lol u gonna lose dood".

The point in adding the coin system in the first place was to make event items more rare and valuable - while I did not fully like the idea, I think it should be kept up the way it started, and in my opinion 1, 2 and/or 3 coins per event are okay for now at least.

I'm afraid I cannot completely disagree with you, but now we have it like than, people have invested some of their coins in is, and I believe it would be unfair to change it now.

Some of the prices almost seem to make sense, and many of them don't at all o_o
But you are right; like most things on GK - it's too late to change it now

Oh just had to put my input in this post. It is too true that active event masters are needed. Stefan is oh so aware of this because i have pm'ed him repeatedly on graal kingdoms while he plays. His response was (to sum it up) that he knew that Event masters were/are needed but it was a matter of trust issues with players that makes it hard for him to hire. But my response to that is, how can you acquire trust for players if you never play? That troubles me. Regardless, there are too many people always on for there to barely be events. You should see the excite there was for a simple game of black jack hosted randomly out the blue by darklux (who by the way was shocked that his tag still worked). that says much on the events of the server. But yes. i completely concurr that event masters need to either step it up. or step down and make way for a newer generation of Events and Events masters.

and as far as event coins. the prices are fine...or rather...would be fine if events were more frequent. it is possible to get some of the smaller things such as sigil of thunder and amulet of speed but it stops tehre. 12 and 15 are pushing it but its duable if you have finances. but none the less the prices would seem much more reasonable if we were averaging more then 1 event every two weeks.

Hmm had to continue on... read more of the previous posts...just had to add some more comments. I feel that Ed would be a wonderful EM. He's one of the few people that have been around as long as me >.>. Aged and still going. =D. Thats the way to be. i dont know.and hes trust worthy... Vlad Taltos too but hes inactive as of late so i wouldnt recommend him. I would say Kingdom Leaders should gain EM tags to host events as well but umm. Ya... Nayoko is the one i see on most often (no offense to any other kingdom leaders love u bunches *cough besides Mark who has basically quit kingdoms and graal for that matter... his leadership should be over thrown...Bosh for new pirate leader =D*) but umm ya. i dont know. but ya Kingdom leaders are trusted enough to gain debug and RC access they should have EM tags as well...just an idea....or maybe players should be monitored and stuff in anticipation of new EMs...atleast 2 should be hired....thats just my opinion.

Should that be a joke? His old account was "Darklux" so the tag wouldn't work on his new "thelostviking" account. And there was no tag someone readded it.
Maybe he lies or you, don't know but i'll find out!

They should care about they're kingdom and not about events for everyone, i think.

Kaiser2:Vlad Taltos was added, too. And maybe there will be another one.

Also, Stefan has more important things to take care of than EMs - not saying that events aren't important. Björn and I are in hot pursuit of some candidates, and we're also taking care of most EM-related issues. So if you want to complain, complain to us
