Odyssey planning / recruiting officially begins

when you get a minute.. swing on by my place and see if you're interested in helping out.. or just in goofing off with us. As of this post, only the news and forum pages are active.. but the forum is all we should need for now. If there are any problems logging in or registering.. bear with me and I'll get it all fixed.. (should be alright though)

I've posted a few graphics that I've tossed together, just for some active examples.. and try not to be thrown off by my long-winded posts about design for Odyssey.. it needs heavy discussion, so I'm giving it just that..

It'll say so on the site very soon.. but I'll just mention here.. we're hiring in all areas, with a heavy emphasis on coding. We need someone who's years into their abilities with gscript.. or a team that makes up that level of competance. We need a level of mastery due to the complexity we've got gearing up for everything..

There's gonna be some people that do the standard .. "Quit trying, you suck and all that jive.." but I'm not swayed by their slander.. let the Odyssey begin.

(also.. when we actually go live and get to a point of stability.. we'll have a separate site for the playerworld..)

yeah.. I don't plan on going through with the billing until I have someone to usher out the scripting issues. Once I've secured that missing piece to the puzzle.. the server will be .. ahem .. "UP"

for now though, I'd be happy to just have some fellow Graalians swing by to keep me company while I'm finishing the loose ends.. There's so much to discuss for planning yet; I've a notebook full of crap, that pretty much lays out the entirety of what I'm shooting for.. but the writing looks like that of an illiterate drug-addict (go figure ) while any illustrations are better described as abstract.. since only *I* needed to know what everything was at the time..

So yeah.. it's a work-in-progress, as per usual.. but I'm not worried.. so long as the ideas keep getting kicked back and forth, we're getting the ball rolling.

OH.. and "content failure" is another way of the site saying error 404.. no page found.. because I simply haven't made any of them yet.. all that works as of now (9:50am, april 17th ..2004) are the news and forum pages..
