Server Messager

There should be some kind of feature (and right) to allow people to send messages to other servers, but not so it would appear in the RC Window,
There could be another icon that would display messages from other servers. It would work like the playerlist except be a list of servers where you could message one, or all of them. This would be an easier way for people to get out any warnings about hackers etc. It would be a good way to send out updates for things on Graal.

Spark910 has a spectacular aura about
Updates would be globalmsg, as local staff cant update graal... but it would be too much and people would abuse it to message other servers.

Not to mention the hackers would have a field day with something like that.

So take steps to prevent that.

Don't go like "OMG HACKERS WOULD ABUSE!!"
(sorry for overdoing it. but thats the impression I get.)

And it wouldn't be abused if it was limited to a person with the right or just to a person with L4 RC or Owner/Manager.

And its not completely useless because its good for getting updates out on any hackers.

EX: You ban someone on your server for hacking, you can send a message to other servers. "Look out for account blahblah".

Thallen I don't really expect you to understand because you're not in my position.

I think he means this

Right for LV 4: /Server Message

When you preform this command it sends a message to the server and it comes up on that servers rc. Like an example given. Someone hacked an rc on your server so you send a message to other servers to watch out.

And if it was really important you could use /All Message and it would go to all the servers. But also, You would need an ignore command if you do not want to recive and messages also there would need to be logs of the message being sent/recived so if anyone abused it they could recive punishment.

EX Of Syantex: /Televe Hey guys, Watch out there is a hacker that just stole an rc here his account is <Account Here>

Then it would go to the server Televe and say the messgae "Hey guys, Watch out there is a hacker that just stole an rc here his account is <Account Here>"

I find this would be really helpful indeed.

The 'hackers' have level4 RC. The 'hackers' take over important accounts such as the manager/admin-playerworld so you couldn't limit it to that.

And I don't think because someone is bannned on one server for something every server should be warned to ban him too, not for most things.

Do you know how many "hackers" actually hit Graal? The only one that even poses a threat in my mind is JellyFish. All the others just make trainers and stir up trouble, that's not worth telling everyone on Graal about. A serious hacking inciddent never even really happens anymore, just training-using *****s, and you're certainly not going to broadcast "Watch out for so-and-so, he was using godmode on my server!" on this thing, that's stupid.

It happens quite often lately but not something you will see posted here about and one of the suspected persons is Jellyfish. The more serious attacks you don't see on the PWs but Graal is being attacked on more of a serious level than trainer use just not talked about with the players on the Forums.

Is that why Graal.net usally cannot connect to the database sometimes? are they getting attacked?

Didn't I say this subject will not be discussed with the players on the Forum? All it does is feed the egos of those involved and certainly doesn't help matters any.

You could implement a limit of one message every say five minutes so that spamming would be virtually impossible. Doesn't make the idea any more usefull though.
