It happened with Flaming Aura which was just fine the way it was at first mind you crybabies that don't know what magic resist rings are for.
It's called nerfing, get used to it.

Yes. Most of the problem lies in the class system being completely useless. Thanks, bye.

Yup. This system workde on CF, which means that it cannot work here o_O
Like a science experiment; you can't get the exact same set of results for two dissimilar experiments =x

Also gods won't be done anytime soon, because it's too "minor" for most staff to think of doing.
Yup. Isn't this half the reason why not many people bother praying to aengus and stuff, because his relic (the best thing about him, imho) doesn't work, and even if it did would be obsolete due to prep weaponscrolls?

See, the thing is, they'd rather wear their dual RoWs/RoS's so that they can go "pwning" people, and so instead of just putting up with it by getting some resist rings, they whine about it until the spells can't hurt a fly anymore.

Kingdoms Mudlib is based off of the CF system... basically it was a 'copy' and 'paste' type thing, so the two systems are exactly similar in every way... except for newer additions of items. (which arent many)

A list of all the differences would probably exceede a page on an average monitor...
For example, refer to the alchemy recipes and all the monsters which aren't avaliable on GK.
GK has no holy symbols (talisman for praying).
Quests work differently on CF (no trading as far as I know).
Stat potions are much more common, hence the high requirements for improved stat scrolls.
Diamonds are much more common on CF.
You can actually trade plats for diamonds.
You can convert altars to your diety (that's what Consecrate is for).
Poison and sickness effects are much faster in CF.
I can't remember CF having Lords or Eventitems.
...
...

As for Gods, they are balanced, the main "unbalance" is in the people's different levels, making some effects stronger or weaker than others.

Yeah, plus i was thinking along the lines of movement and visuals and actions and stuff. I've only glanced at screenshots of CF, but it looks to me like the fighting system is turn-based or some jazz (could be wrong, of course o_O) whereas in GK it's just like...free-swinging action.

It would REALLY be good. Summon down a mini angel to kick some ass, or Balor summoning a fire thingamabob.
When I was on debug, Stefan and I discussed this. But since we only have like, three monsters that fall into the catagory of demon, undead, angel, ect... we cant summon cult monsters. :/

Vitriol should never be released. What is the point of having a spell/prayer that will piss EVERYONE off by removing their hard earned +'s on their items? That is retarded. Lots of stuff on CF are easier to do and that's why vitriol works well there. GK is totally different. It is harder to earn stuff here. So unless they make it 10x easier to earn EA, I doubt vitriol will be released without any nerfing.

You see, when one spell or ability becomes noticeably stronger than the others the staff either have to make all the other spells equally stronger, or tone down that spell to the levels of others.

It is not all that suprising to see it happen, especially in a beta MMORPG.

Blah, his idiocy should cancel that "leetness" out tenfold though! I think we should attach this banhammer to a nuclear power station and then release radiation onto it to make it "Super-Banhammer! Now with added cape and superhero mask!".
