i think that level editing should be done in layers, that way ther could be less square like stuff everyware, and every object should use transparency were there is nothing

Look for fixed Ice Castle tiles. No longer Zelda ripoffs, actually look like ice for once. Those that liked the old ice castle tiles can use regular castle and a sodding backpal.

About layers... i ahd this idea right, that you can layer levels... like you could put a level in a level *scratches head*.

Ok if you have been in Dustari castle and you come in... and you look down, you see what is ment to be the outside of where you enter(not actully) so i thought with layers of levels, you could make this possible.

So you could have the actul inside of Dustari and add the level outside where people come in where the current little made entrace should be. So you can actully see people outside from that level(not sure if you're following me) But the people that are coming in from the level that enters can't see you.

Ok if you don't get that well i'm not very good at explaining.

That wasn't an angry face, it was a disgruntled face. And think about it: There are gonna be gargantuan problems. Bomies sit whenever they go over certain tiles, but what if the tileset maker was careless and made those indexes refer to, say, flowers? The whole thing would be messed up. Similarly, things like my dream sequence wouldn't work and a multitude of stuff like that.

It'll only be viable if people merely edit the normal tiles but is that really gonna happen? No, people are going to get adventurous...

Yeah layers are possible, but like for example a bridge, if you walk under it you don't actually WALK UNDER it you are just kinda warped to the other side (through scripting) That is the kind of layering that we need to help add depth to levels.

Personally, I hope that he fixes the Voodoo3 problem (lights glitch up in fullscreen, lag in windowed mode - for more info, go into bug reports).

Actually if you go to the bridges in Avalon ( I think that's the name, it's what Ragnarok made..wow it's been a long time heh) You will notice you can walk over them, and under them perfectly. They were made a while ago, so it was possible for a long time.

Not quite. Walk under the bridge, then off to the left. It won't block you from coming out the side.

Greatest NPC commands:

toweapons
setimgpart
function
triggeraction

You cannot understand the impact these four commands have had. Well, maybe you can, but they're still damn cool.

I made bridges where you can walk under
and above perfectly (using dontblock/blockagain
/drawunderplayer/drawoverplayer) like 2 1/2 years
ago in a level set never uploaded
(hmmm may be I could use it in Graal2001?)

The only problem is that its buggy in online mode:
other players walking under the bridge while
you are standing on it will appear on the bridge
too,
and when you are walking under the bridge then
other players will appear under it too, no matter
if they are under it or above it.
That is just because there are no real layers yet.

could be attached to the bridge when he is above it,
so it will work like a layer
