If it's a one-time thing then it's perfectly alright. ie, someone who no longer plays the game or has an account, but whose input should be a valued kind of thing. As long as you don't do it more than once, and only on a particular topic. This is how I understood it from Kai when I posted Jubei's thoughts on DD.
