I modified the current ranking system. The chain of command is a lot different. I also added jobs, most of which were planned in the past by Ghost Pirate. Some ranks were removed also. I basically went by what I saw on previous posts from GP with my own edits and additions.

I'll explain the changed ranks here.
Jobs
Note:
The ranks of the jobs are part of the crew, and doing a job is like being a crewman. Also, while these jobs are best for new players, doing them makes a player no less than other crew members as one may wish to do such a job for fun and RPing rather than power and greed.
Lookout
Serves as a lookout on a boat, using the sail pole.
Horseman*
Tends to horses in a house used as the kingdom's horse stable. Feeds the horses. Sells surplus of horses. Breeds horses. Provides tools (pegs and saddles) for horses.
Chef
Makes food for feeding those who may need food in the crew, trading with other players, selling, etc.
Fisherman
Goes fishing and provides crew members with fish, sells the fish, or trades for other items.
Architect*
Repairs houses around the kingdom. Also builds houses for kingdom members.
Ship Master*
Organizes ships in the shipyards. Builds ships for crews. Replaces destroyed crews' ships. Supplies cannon balls for crews.
Postman
Delivers mail.
Trade Master
Trades very important items with players and sells them in store also.
Shop-keeper
Sells items from a store.
Trader
Collects simple items to trade with players.
*= Though this rank is under Captain, as part of a crew, only one or two are neccessary for now due to the playerbase of Graal Kingdoms as well as the nature of their work. Therfore, they will not only work for their crew, but the kingdom as a whole. These are also paying jobs.
Edit: A sticky on this might be helpfull.
Edit2: Explanations were not included. First off, obviously, the rank of "Captain" has been given much more power and value as I see it should. This also means crews will be bigger since almost everyone will be below a Captain. This won't mean there will be many times more crews than before. I believe it'll be better to have a crew be full of people with different abilities that would be needed- melee fighters, wizardry experts, prayer experts, alchemists for item producing kind of like a magic blacksmith (if they ever bring back that alchemy feature), etc.
Secondly, you may notice the addition of something called the "Syntex". The Syntex will be the smallest crew. Each member will be known for being the one of the most elite people in the area he or she specializes in.
