A few ideas

About this reset business: How about we reset kingdoms most say, but that alone will not do the trick. What Stefan would have to do is make everything rarer, and only one or 2 shops. Speed isnt nesecary for rp so i dont know why its in the game but yea... make rings REALLY rare. This will help create a bit of balance. Another thing you must do for the reset is make grace easier to get. This will cause balance by releasing the god items.

Kingdoms: My idea for kingdoms is everyone should be wiped, then the kingdoms would be INVITE only. When one person sees someone rping well they should recommend them, after so many reccomendations that person can get added.

Battle mode: Battle mode should be a privelage, only allow battlemode if that person is in a kingdom. If they get kicked or they leave a kingdom battle mode is taken away form them until another kingdom recruits them

RP: (Well tonight i tried rping, guess what? i got pked, so much that did) There should be rp police, or enforcers of a sort. If someones trying to rp and someone interupts them they get kailed for 5 minutes, and if they have done it more than once the time increases

I really like the idea on making rings rare, that'd keep people from relying on them so much, I hate the ring system in use here, because it makes you 'need' them.
It's treated like, "Ring (allows wearer to breath)"

And yeah, rarer, make it something really special to get great things, that would lead to more of a heroic feal. ^.^
I find it odd how shiney shields are so common, yet my round shield (a gift) is sooooo rare! I meen, it's a wooden shield with a little iron, you'd think this would be more common then a huge mirror shield. I wonder what they were thinking...

Kingdoms: Erf, that's a little harsh, lets make it an optional deal activated by the kings maybe? This would require people to be on tag all the time (I'm all for it ) but I meen, I'm the only one on tag in forest more often then not, it just wouldn't work out like that. Still, it's a clever idea from my oppinion... Would also promote friendly relations...

Battle mode: Good idea

RP: That however, is a bad idea. Something I posted elsewhere about this, is everybodies oppinion on rp is different, so the police would enforce what THEY think is good rp. Overall, this would descourage or scare people away from rp. x.x


On a final note; This thread makes me think, it seems like everyone is suggesting a reset and giving thoughts relating to "If I made GK, I'd do it differently!"...

A reset is starting to sound really selfish to those suggesting it... They all seem to suggest that it would help them out in one way or another... Maybe it isn't in GK's best interest?

The selfish ones are the people not supporting the reset. Not resetting handicaps newbies. It makes it almost impossible for them to be playing at a reasonable standard set in the game.

I like Denori's ideas. I just have a little more to add.

Rings: I don't care if they're rare or if they stay the same, but if they are...they shouldn't be rare in the way alchemy items are. That just means old players get to have these godly items while new players don't. They should be rare in the way a RoW (it can be bought in shops,right?) is in our current system.

Kingdoms: Your idea isn't strict enough. All players should be kept on start island at first. The main island and the kingdom islands (I'd prefer if there were no main land,but I'll try not to make my ideas any bigger than Denori's) should be considered the RP islands. Players should have to talk to a member of the RP admin team you suggested in order to get to the RP islands. People on the RP island should have to be in character at all times. They should be allowed to return to start island for OOC fun. In this sense, Palmaloma (or whatever that main town in start island is called) would be the hang out for OOC or non-RPing players while Bomboria would have the public pub for RPers. After all, GK is a game ment for RPing, is it not? Yes, people do play to pay, so they should be able to. This is why a little more could be added to start island. But if they want to get to the fun of the game, they should have to be approved by RP admins who can ban them from the RP islands at any time. Make it strict like Val

Battle mode: It was renamed to kingdom or RP mode long ago. It should be considered as such.

RP: People should be warped to start island for interrupting RPing. If they continue doing it, then they should be put in a jail on start island. Maybe make the time double each time they're put in

And one more thing, leaders should be whiped from kingdoms as well as members.

Why is it selfish when someone wants to keep what they invested time to get? Not resetting doesn't hurt, at least not those who do rp. As was said, RPing is not mainly about strength and power, so why reset that?

I agree with the battlemode, and I'd veen go as far as saying that you can only be in battlemode on tag, thus (hopefully) reducing pking.

I doubt RPing can be enforced like that - the kingdom leaders would invite people not only because they rp, but also because they are strong, or are friends with them. It would be nice if more people would rp, but a few already do, and I concider myself one of them, but who can judge that?

A reset would make the people currently playing get a chance at being the BEST there is for one thing...

The situation isn't as bad as you nay-sayers think it is, you can buy almost anything if you have the money, inflation is a natural occurence, newbies are being helped constantly by rich people like me... Weapons can be made powerful (and I just learned that nobody else can weild weapons you enchant!).

Why don't you approach the white house, goto the suggestion box, write down "Total Reset" and plop it in the box, great idea don't you think? (sorry, probably being a little too blunt by this :P)

Anyway, sorry for dedicating my post to this, but I have very little else to say. Except for the following:

I take back what I said about rings being really rare, and making the game more realistic. Instead of suggesting how I'd prefer the game, it's probably more worthwhile to appreciate how unique it is :grin:

That would make such items quite valuable, because (as I've seen) trying to use a recipe to make some of those require quite a bit of mental to get right (like 20+)

Also, are there any recipes which do work with the items avaliable save 1 event-ingredience? Or would the winner be awarded with a package of dragonscales and orc-hearts or whatever?
