I asked Stefan about that "final" version business before, and he didn't really give me a straight answer. It was more like a "Let's wait and see if we really need one" type of answer. But then again...sometimes there's more to a situation than they'll say, I guess?
And also, this thread was pointless. Deman could have responded to the other one instead -_- But to respond to those comments..
1. If you feel you "worked" hard for your items, maybe you need to find something else to call a "game" since you seem to see GK as more of a job than fun
2. Lots of stuff doesn't mean it's finished. "Stuff" is actually the problem. It could use less "Stuff" to be better (alchemy items and other items which were good, and cant be created anymore should either be able to produce or removed...and much more than this should be done [thus,a reset]...BTW, I WOULD prefer if we could have them all together, but just have them more availible).
3. In most,if not every RPG, when you come to it, there's the advantage the player who's been playing since day 1 (or even minute 1) has over newer players. That advantage is that he had more of an opportunity to be the best player. This is because...in theory, if I come a month later to GK than another player, and we both play equal amount of time per week, and we do the same things, that other player will ALWAYS have that advantage of exp, item collection, etc. This is something we have to accept in most games. The problem here is that GK adds more problems like this. Old players can have their items (the no longer producable ones, especially alchemy and flaming ice daggers) which don't have to be worked as hard to get as newer players have to work to get them. These items don't include gift shop items BTW (as long as those come back on the next holidays....mostly wizard hats...and probably belts)
