I had an idea for one waaaaaaaaaaaaay back, like before the whole NPC Server thing showed up. Then I stopped 'cause I got bored with it, and then dropped the whole thing when I didn't feel like learning to script for the NPC Server.
But anyway, how it worked.
The land was split among the three ruling clans. The Amazons had control of the west-northwest, the Thieves guild controlled the east, and the Mages controlled the south.
Stories of treasure long gone, and ages past filled libraries in each of the major towns. Legends spoke of a portal to a castle which contained vast amounts of treasure, and danger. This portal was sealed by six artifacts which were scattered across the land in caves and elsewhere, some even coming into the possession of the leaders of the clans.
In the center of the land, sits Gate Isle, where the altars for the artifacts wait. Wild monsters roam the lands, and many are out seeking adventure.
Anyway, as far as the way it works and everything. In the beginning, you pick your starting town, Either the Amazons, Thieves, or Mages. There are 6 items you can get from each town, by completing jobs for the leaders there. The limitation is, that you can ONLY get 6 out of the 18, so everyone's character isn't the same. Like the Amazons might give you a stronger blade, but the Mages can give you a talisman that makes your Mana regenerate naturally. Get both, and you'll be limited to only 4 other items. Fullhearts will be found in other ways, such as exploring caves, or ancient ruins of the former ages, helping townspeople with things, etc. Anyway, just an idea for you. ^.^; |
