Just realized there is a forum for this type of message, could someone please move it?
Warning: Long Auto-Biography Follows
Well, I intend this post to be my last, anyone who knew me will know I have not been online for some months now, this is because I feel it is time for me to leave graal, it has been a good experience for me and I enjoyed many moments on this forum and in graal itself.
I have been around long before 2k2, back in the time of 4-player split-screen offline play, but wasn’t online till 2k2 came online. I remember the start of it all, swords, shields, helmets, bows, eventually main isle, armour, kingdom isle, dungeons and so on, just checking the official site and reading a few updates tells me that Stefan (or whoever does those things now) is still busy. Unfortunately for me I was British and so could not be on at those peak hours, so I had a small circle of people who knew me, I’d like to consider them friends, but they may think otherwise. Some notable people I have fought with/alongside have been, Larrien, Charles, DragonX and Ghost Pirate, I am sorry if I did not include others but my memory is fuzzy. This curse was, in a way, a blessing for in my solitude constant training let me rise through the levels, to a, now un-impressive, level 15. I trained for a battle that never came; I never enjoyed the tournament or the event, though proved my worth in 2 short wars. This may be seen as missing the whole point of graal, and I agree, this is the main reason for my absence.
My time in Dustari saw me rise from swordsman to Necromancer, where I stayed, out of preference, until I had a short-lived appointment as general, the new Dustari (some may say old) under Kamuaii (or however his name is spelt, I was never good at spelling, as he will know) was not for me.
So I conclude this by saying, I enjoyed my time here, and this game has many merits, but its great attraction, I believe, is the community. I am handing my account to my close friend Raziel and trust he takes good care of it.
This is Ex-Necromancer Ilyich Venmyr, boding farewell. |
