DungeonGenerator Additions
|
I know that the Dungeon Generator was just released recently, and very few people have been able/tried/wanted to figue it out, but I have been working with it for a little while now, and I thought of some dungeon ideas for the server I work on.
The manager liked the ideas, so I started work on them, but I ran into a few problems that I think should be realized, and maybe fixed.
Tileset Template
According to the document about the DungeonGenorator, all servers making dungeons need to use their own tiles(duh).
Someone needs to make an easy to follow template for dungeon tiles that isn't so confusing, with bright colors and stuff so you can easily see what is what, because when I was trying to use the default tiles, it was hard to see what was what because it was so dark!
Tile Location Configuration
I noticed that you can set the arrays for the location of your tiles in the editor. (Like, walln=0x0,0xAA etc)
I think that this needs to be worked on, because when I put in my values and tried it, it was all messed up, because my walls were a few tiles shorter than the default ones...
It should be made so that it can check somehow how big it is or something, so that it doesn't mess up.
Map Creator
There should be some option for the DungeonGen to create a map and minimap. (I dunno, it may already do this, but I don't know)
Links
Maybe an option to place a link to another level? Like, I could have it place a link to the overworld of my server with an option?
More Dungeon Styles
This isn't really needed, but maybe more dungeon styles could be created? =/ |
