Day / Night System

I was kind of thinking, it would be good with a day / night system. The problem with this is people don't like it when it gets so dark you can't see. So what I was thinking is have a day / night system but when it gets dark, don't make it too dark.

I just think it would be quite good

Been suggested, it won't happen for a long time. You need DirectX on for lighting to work ..

.. so basically, when it's night, you can just turn DX off and see perfectly .. so what, have forced lighting effects? No one is sure how to handle it right now, and it's not really a priority.

Maybe once the new graal for windows comes, everything will be alot less laggy and forcing day/night won't be a problem.

Kaimetsu will become famous soon enough
It shouldn't be a mechanism designed to hinder players by blinding them, it should just be a visual cue as to the time of day. Perhaps certain things can only happen at night etc.

I agree .. but I do think that one idea I heard, that you can't see other player's names at night, is a good idea (and also a good indicator that it is night for anyone with DX off). I also think that something should be done to stop players from making invisible names and becoming invisible (yes it's possible in GK, but you cannot move while invisible).
