I can agree with that Rax, Graal 2000 has no point, its stupid and a waste of cumputer space.

How is this different from Graal The Adventure?

How can you justify it is a waste of space? What else would take it's space if it as removed?

Yeah, tell the dumb guy that put it up to take it down. Oh, what's that? Who did? Unixmad put it up, you say? Ah well

Still it's a useless waste of his space for the game he hosts!

There are hardly any players on G2000 just because only a few knows that the server has been changed. Most of the people may think it's still like 1998 (or still 1998 if they haven't checked the bottom of the server list), with an in-game trainer and don't even know there was a reset. There should be an announcement posted on the Graal website.
Also, another reason is that there are many trainer users on the server and Tyhm refuses to hire staff, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to hire a few good GPs.

Graal 2000 has real potential with some polishing. It's the best thing for everyone who wants to play Graal old school. If popularity increases perhaps there can be some updates to it as well as a staff...i'm all for it, need the support tho

You can never play Graal old school, because Graal is an online game, and unlike offline games, the history is based more around the players than the game.

I totally agree, but Graal2000 should not be taken down, i think there should be staff there, and make graal2000 in development, i mean graal2000 maibe dont need GPs, but LATs,NATs and GATs are in need.

Take graal2000 down is like in other words "Dont give it a chance"

What you have said is the opposite of what they need.

They need GPs.
They don't need LAT, NAT or GFX Team. They are not changing anything.
They don't even need it developed.
It's a past version of Graal Classic

I say no, they dont need GPs, i think LATs, NATs and GAts can fix hackers by them own.

Why have LAT's? They aren't having staff, its like it was in 2000, and anyway they dont need more lvls, they are keeping it as it was, the idea was to be able to see what it was like, as lots of people talk about the early days, and so new people could experiance it too!

Exactly...alot of people were complaining, wanting it back, so it is back...it is cool to go there and see what graal used to be level wise, but not cool hacking wise...Tyme said in another thread that he wont hire staff unless it gets to a certain number of players (I think it was like 50 or 60 something). Not going to happen

Exactly, it is Tyhm's "experiment". He gave everyone that complains about him and classic what they asked for, the old levels, just so they could realize that that's not what they're missing. I could really care less what happens to the server, I just hope that people stop complaining and start helping to improve the Graal we have now.

Many people have already hit it on the head. Those that complain are the ones who miss thier friends from long ago. They probably don't intend on coming back either unless things around here start to shape up a bit.

Who ever posted this is a complete idiot. I've seen 17+ people at peek times we're developing guilds to attract more people. In the past week alone the peak has gone from 10 up to 17 and as soon as the guild cp maximus and I predict those numbers will continue to grow. Once nemesis hires some staff to get rid of the trainer users it will be even better. We dont need development staff just GP who can ban trainer users and possibly fix minor bugs such as missing graphics that are supposed to be there etc.. (so far we've just made our own graphics to replace the missing ones. ) Heck often times I see graal2000 above 4 of the other player worlds. I think considering the only thing being done is players trying to help other players and make guilds to attract more players we're doing a good job at building a player base with no staff assistance at all. But if people would actually give it a chance instead of numbskulls like this guy I think even more people would realize how great it is.

In 1998, there were no staff save the corrupt.

When I started developing this, Nemesis asked to be allowed to handle staff. I said in 1998 there were no staffers, but if it evolves, sure.
For the past week he's been insisting he's gonna hire staff as soon as he finishes X. If he hasn't moved by tonight, I'm hiring staff. If it dies, it dies with staff.

I think that something that has no development in progress, which means that it will not change its content, it's determinated to stay with no players.

What's the point of playing it after you have made all the quests and etc? Sparring? You can spar at the current Classic Graal (Graal The Adventure).

So what's the point of Graal The Adventure or of Graal2000?
Both have the same style: the old and classic style of Graal.
But Graal The Adventure has one difference: it changes, and it gets new things that keep the players entertained.

Then, yes, Graal2000 is a pointless server.

We have LATs, a guild manager, and GPs now... From what I understand, the LATs will be handling removing the bugs from the levels...Stuff might be added eventually, but that's all up to Tyhm

Dont really need a levels admin I mean we're not really changing much so it wouldnt effect much either way. But I suppose he'll hire a new one he trusts when he finds one.

Now that I think about it we dont really even need one at all. If tyhm perhaps made a folder (not connected to the overworld) which every one could upload bug fixes to such as this one spot part of a tree is blocking mod fort that isnt supposed to be there. Etc... Then when Tyhm felt like it or had time he could look at them and move them to the overworld. just an idea.

When I say updates I mean things that dont actually show up on the server until some one transfers it to a different file. Or maybe you knew what I ment and still ment you're not giving alot of people access. :O

*shrugs* "Everyone" would need access to a folder they could drop stuff in which a Level Admin would have to periodically move to the Updates Folder.

Or we can spare Tim the trouble of setting up minor RC access for everyone who wants to submit and get a Level Admin who takes submissions by email and miraculously doesn't upload putexplosion-based weapons.

Just wanted to cheer we had 2000 population up to 21-23 players today when we had a war between to guilds to take over graal castle. But do to excessive healing it eventually became a stale made and we called it a draw. ;x
