Well, that's good to hear. Too few people take advantage of the technology. But how do the cliffs work? GMaps usually aren't great at that kind of thing.

Well, I am taking advantage of the not explained tile orders. Basicly I made a NPC to color code the tiles, so I can change the tile order and get what is onwall, and onwater, and neither. So I formed a template of the NewWorld tile order, and I am using that. The NewWorld tile order, in case you do not know, is by far superior to the default tile order.

I think the gmap is going to make it look awfully strange... you can kind of see the left (viewers left) side of the house sinking down the incline. The cliffs don't feel right but they look kind of neat, although they seem too "photoshop textured" to me for some reason. I like the water though, but the house needs to show more of the top of the roof and back of the roof, as it seems like it's kind of at a sideview and not 3/4th. Plus the door and stuff is really short... don't know what size your characters will be but they'd have to be short(er) than a normal Graal character and skinnier if you wanted to have a realistic perspective... meaning it's going to be hard seeing much detail on the players.
But just a word of advice (which you should already know), it's better to not start giving info or screenshots until you've gotten far into development. I probably should have kept a lid on my own playerworld for a longer time but we all make mistakes. So are you going to give any info on what the server is about? I'm guessing medieval fantasy setting?

Well, gmaps give you much more control over the levels. I suggest you use them, as well. Gmaps can be made completely flat to allow normal building but level preloading, or you can use heights to your advantage. That level is just a test level for now, I just wanted to make something to show my tiles to everyone.
As far as showing stuff, this is the only thing I plan on showing for a very long while. I have actually been working on this for a little while now, I already have a full body done with most animations (walking, idle, working on attack). Giving out information is usually always a negative. Plus, I just fuel my motivation with making things for debug on GK, which is currently my first priority above my PW, but they don't ask of a overwhelming amount.

Well, I should enlarge it, but I guess I will explain one little aspect....I believe Stefan has given the ability to resize character sprites in ganis. Well, it should be self explanatory, but characters will not all be the same size....on top of that, it will allow for magics making a character a giant, or as small as a rat heh.

-_- NW was a whole different project, bound by many factors such as the limitations of the engine at the time. This project will go on.
Don't post remarks without explanation. Konidias, Kaimetsu, and Tyhm are kind enough to post some explanation, giving me what I should improve and think about. You just flat out say "Also the tileset is a bit, not very nice!" Which almost doesn't make sense =/.

This is not a Murasamune related project. I, once again, will not want any serious staff until it is online, which will be a little while. All I need help with is a little scripting here and there, but I already can get that on debug server.

Hey buddy, make something better then get back to me. They are all pixel drawn in paint, and mostly shaded in paint. Because they were made originally for "NewWorlds" new engine, I touched them up in paint shop pro. Now I have brought them done a little so it takes less colors, but I assure you they are not easy to draw, and I am not seeing this "static" you speak of. As I said about to Spark, same goes for you.
