My first "memorable" moment was when it was still G2k2. This was way in the beginning, before it was like it is now. I wasn't around when there was still durby, and when there were no swords, but I remember that bows and daggers were new after I started. I think.
Anyway .. I remember a guy named Vahn (who originally inspired me to join the Forest Kingdom) and a guy named Sephiroth were holding sword fights on the mountain. Since it was near impossible to kill someone (100 health and WAY too fast health regen) .. the winner was the person who hit the other first.
The three of us also went around killing random people .. we would choose someone on the playerlist, then run to where they were .. say "You have been chosen" .. and kick the crap out of them. Hahah, I still remember that one guy who was making the magic arrows .. we surrounded him so he couldn't escape .. I think his reaction was something like "WTF?!". Hahahah.
Then I didn't play G2k2 for a long time .. and I came back one day, and it was like this. It confused and frightened me, so I left. I came back again later, and since then it's been my favourite Graal server (aside from a few .. rough patches
).
I also remember when Constinople was still around .. hahah, he really got on people's nerves. He was starting some big war against Bile .. he said that you could "only see his shadow" .. in reality, it was just buggy "cause_wounds of Bile" prayers .. but it was pretty funny seeing all these deaths scroll up the side of the window ..
Oh, that must have been around the time the "/say" and "/shout" commands still worked .. those were pretty funny .. people would spam like madmen, hahahah ...
Before there were dungeons, I got pretty powerful once .. I was playing straight through a night .. I got to level five, I was an alchemist. I died, though, and got super pissy.
I've spent so much time on this server .. I have nearly 700 online hours. It's a part of my life. It's gotten to the point where if I'm online and someone asks "What's up?" .. and I respond "Graaling" or "Playing Graal Kingdoms" .. they say "I figured as much.." .. heh, it's really pretty pathetic .. but I'm not going to go in to the details of my life.
Another memory for me is that I've never won any contests, never been an important part of the server or any kingdom, never had anything better than a Ring of Fighting (thanks to Chibi for that) which I eventually sold for 2000 plats and a writing pen .. 2000 plats being the most money I've ever had (I soon will break that, though) .. yeah .. through all this time, I don't even think anyone has even noticed me. Hahah, isn't that lovely? Oh well. I have the satisfaction of helping newbies. I always help them. I love helping people out. Heh, if there was a GK FAQ, I'd probably be the most qualified to become one (not to be ****y) .. but, oh well. Oh, and let's not forget all my restarts. If I hadn't done that, I'd probably be more powerful than Shrimp .. but .. that's the past. Maybe in another 700 hours of online play I'll get there.
Oh .. and my other memory .. which has always stuck with me .. is all of my valid suggestions being ignored (no affirmation of them at all) aside from two .. the pentagram carpet (Yes, that was MY idea
) .. and having monsters as pets .. but I think Stefan had already planned that when I spoke to him about it. So .. yeah. Hahahah. :o
I could probably go on, and mention every moment I remember from Graal Kingdoms .. but I'd drive you all mad .. so .. I'll stop here. This is long enough as it is ..
