Two Problems in 2k2 to be fixed

There are two major problems in 2k2

Improved Weapons:

Alright so lets see that you have a simple sword and the other guy has a 47 dmg sword. They are both at the same level. The guy with the 47 dmg sword kills the other person 3 hits while the other person hitted that person 10 times. The problem is that the improved weapons are too powerful that the battle system is very flawed. Its because the damage that the IWD scroll adds (+5 per improvement). I should suggest that it should +2 damage per improvement. Its not just about the weapons they have but its the battles. They end up quickly in 3 hits that it doesnt give a chance.

The Speed in Battles:

This is a big difference in the other problem I said. Many people are so fast that it takes forever to end a battle. Because when they are really fast its really hard to hit each other. I suggest that you should make a skill called 'Ready Weapon'. It decreases your speed but it increases your damage. That should fix the problem.

2 damage with each IWD? No, hell no. I did not pay 8k+ to improve my weapon to have it do very little damage. We earn our money, we should get every bit of the damage it gives. You say improved weapons are powerful, maybe the other people are just plain weak?

Also in battles, I can control my movement and hit someone, if you can't I don't see why everyone should suffer, take off your speed rings and fight like that.

The whole point of a IWD is to give you damage and make you kill faster. Stop complaining and play.

If you can't spend alot of money and time I might add getting your weapon stronger then you should be weak

It is not about thAT!
Noone cares how much time you spent in the money.
It is just not fair.
You should be able to only imrpove Daggers, since thieves REALLY suck.
Improving ONLY daggers would be better, but of course +2 damage thing would be included.

If you don't care about how much we spent in money (which we had to EARN EVERY SINGLE BIT OF IT) then we do not care about weaklings that whine !

Some of you really need to learn about game design. It's not a matter of 'I paid for this so I deserve it' because nobody cares how much you paid. If the effect is unbalancing the game then it should be removed.

Unimportant. Trading convenience for power is not good game design.

For those who don't have 20 strength, carry a full suit of armor, and whatever else they might have, (hearts, livers, skins, arrows, etc.) a 40+kg sword is probably going to slow you down.

If you want to be strong get alot of money and upgrade your weapon jesus its not a balancing matter to much of a "I don't want to work to get better" matter.

BUYING power is not right!
Maybe in a certain quest, or EVENT. You get an IWD or prepare!
But using Improved weapons in events / sparring events should be unallowed, because it unevens the fight.

I can;t believe it. Selzar, you are the one who wants more rewards for timetaking baddy kill (leveling)....now you want less benefits for timetaking baddy killing (money)?

I guess everyone wnats what is best for them, if they ahve alot of exp like in Selzars case they want that to count. And if they have little money like in Selzar's case they want that to make less of a difference.

You can make Graal "fair" or "unfair" for yourself.

It all depends on how much time you are willing to waste/spend on the server.
If you play as much as the people with the "Flaming Sword Of Bile +360" then youd probably have plenty of money to waste too.
On the other hand if you play as much as me then youll have 22 platinum like I have.

Ok now see this is just wrong.
You may think 60 damage, and immediately get the judgement that its not fair. Truth of the matter is if I go up against Girum who has maybe around 120 HP, chances are I will NOT kill him in about 2 hits, I might not even kill him in 5 hits. Just because you can do 60 damage, hardly means you ever do. Girum would have to have like 8 ac and 0 physical protection, and I still doubt I would take him down in 2 hits.

It's not near as easy as you make it sound Selzar... people don't just go to the market and buy the ability to kill you. Making the amount of money that it takes to get that weapon upgrade and everything that goes with it, like diamonds, takes a lot of time. Also, it's not only weapon upgrades that you have to gain, so getting all of the other good equipment takes even more money, and therefore more time. In all that time, there is a lot of work.
That is where you should start if you want to get strong. Actually doing some work. What you don't do is come to the forums and whine about how people that have spent more time on the game are better than you at that game. Now close your internet browser that you are looking at this topic with, and open your game.

I agree with shrimp, it is your overall stats that control how much damage, I dont spend 1100 plat each time, to increase my weapons by 2 dam.

that is a major waste of plat, if you want to talk about balance, we will. What sucks is that I HAVE FAILED ALCHEMY 8 FORKING TIMES, NOW THAT IS A B*TCH

when Sorcs usually get all spells on 1st time.

I have wasted about 7k on spells i have failed, that isn't balance.

I think things are fine.
