Look carefully at the picture and you'll discover this:

• the player is not focused correctly (maybe the levels aren't connected).
• the player is hovering.

Yeah. The warps on G2K2 are, ah, weird. One time I wandered until I found myself on a nearly-dead boat, that might be the cause.

Docks are similarly weird, as are the dock-bridges on G2K2 Start. But whatever.

I'll keep my notes on insane warps and suddenly-black levels on G2K2 for another thread. ;

I was riding a zepplin then the level turned black
reconnecting made it go into the pics1.png tileset
restarting graal fixed it.

That happens to me with alarming frequency. It's like, if I'm riding the gokart or swimming or taking the boat or even walking across a level boundary when the bitrate=0, it doesn't know where to put me when the bitrate goes back up so it gives me all-black terrain. Then when it does decide what level I should be in, it's at the old coordinates, so I find myself at the left side of a level I entered from the left (x=0, should be 64)...something like that.

Should I start taking screenshots?
