No game is to blame for these "addictions" the players make the decisions to play for hours on end. The guy you are talking about was some 25 year old socially inept man who sat in his room all day playing Everquest, and they think he killed himself when he lost his character or something.
I'm not addicted to Graal. I have many other things that I do with my time. I work for Graal, so yes, I would imagine I need to be on it a lot. But it all depends on the person playing. If you play Graal more than you do anything else, then you probably should make a schedule to follow so that you don't play as much.
There is not really a way to be addicted. Drugs can affect your mind and body in order to make it think and act differently then you would like. However, you are in full control of Graal, you just decide that you want to be "addicted" and play it a lot. Needing Graal because you want to play it is a lot different then a crackhead needing a fix.
These kind of "goodbye" posts happen all the time. I still crack up about the guy who talked about how he got a life because he quit Graal and rides on Jet Ski's waving at people.

I think it's quite hilarious how people think they all the sudden have lives now that they have given up Graal, and how all the people still playing are lifeless zombies with no friends.
