What is the 'save command for?

I always wondered what is its purpose because I always die, or log off, and when I come back, everything is the same... Only thing I do is go to a bed of a dock and save the restart position.

To save your stuff of course. However, Stefan added something that auto-saves for you every 5 minutes or something. I'm not sure if you're required to use /save now, but I think I would do it once before logging off just to be on the safe side.

I though it was some comedy thing, like /spit and /bleed, you know, you are saved, try /save <account name of other person online> If it says he is saved, it doesn't save, I should try that, but I'm lazy x.x

its incase the NPC server goes down while yur off, cause if oyu dont /save and it goes down itll do a time warp with your inventory wich is really nasty

Couldn't you save, drop something, then reconnect and have duped it?

the server saves.... but theres a bit of time between saves... and the server was crashing like every 10 minutes long while back=P

*edit* Yeah, he did because i tried it with gold coin and when I got back on, nothing cam back x.x
