Yeah, they could provide a host like those Unreal Tournement/Half-Life servers that are around where you rent it out for a month.

Problem with the playerworlds is now lots of them have NPC Server and the most regular problem is it going down either by a problem in it or staff "playing" with RC.
And this problem can only be fixed at the office so they would have to hire someone into the office to do that.

no, they could make a npc server that ran with the server that they have telnet access to, thus if it goes down they can boot it up on their own.

I'm sure if Stefan could have he would have done it by now.
It would save a lot of time and hassle in the long run so why wouldn't he have done it alread?

All i can say is nothing will be done that is a major security risk to the game..the telnet access is something they wouldn't allow...I mean if the global admins cannot do it, i don't think server-side staff shall be able to either...it's all the risk and all these fears and problems that given access can bring if people decide to abuse their right to have that access..it's best kept as is yet it sucks because only 2 people known can fix the problems, yet they are the 2 hardest people to reach at times.

As for the renting of the server...good idea, but I am not sure how'd that work, because if you stop paying, do you lose your server? then people will jump in and pay for it and take it from you? Everything leads to wonderous questions....

Guess we'll see what the future holds..

do you know about telnet? youre a fool dude. All the server hosting companies give you telnet access to their server, Stefan could restrict people to certain directories. As goes the server you really are dumb aint ya, you pay for a server that people can connect to you get ftp you upload your levels etc and open telnet to start your server. If you run out of funds the ftp gets deleted thats all server goes bye bye.

I don't know why people continue to argue about how they think Graal can be changed for the better. It just won't happen. The onylw ay Graal can be changed is if Unixmad or Stefan are to do it themselves. And they won't, because they're happy with how it is now. They're doing THEIR jobs; which consists of Managing and being buisness partners. They aren't the people in charge of player relations. They shouldn't have to deal with accounts, or playerworlds, or anything else; unelss they have nominated themselves as being in charge of that. Such as, for example, Graal2002. Sure, they go on playerworlds to fix stuff, but that's only ebcause they're the only ones who know HOW, who CAN, and who can be TRUSTED not to go on some childish rampage and delete everything in sight. Let's face it; the majority, if not all of Graal, due to their age, has this deep down hidden obsession with wanting to piss everyone else off by making themself happy. Usually attempted to be done by deleting stuff, hacking, etc.

Nemesis does his job just fine. He's perhaps the only Global staff member I can think of that actually appears when he's needed; if not right away then as soon as possible. I don't care how old he may be; he's mature enough to know how to do his job to the best of his ability. Torankusu, equally, helps with this job. However, they can't help the fact that although they're supposed to have the power to make sure the playerworlds are all DECENT, Stefan and Unixmad are really the ones who are allowed to do anything. All Tor and Nem can do is tell everyone why their playerworld sucks, and threaten them with a long as hell 2 week period to fix things (and by fixing I mean get rid of ONE of the THOUSANDS of terrible thigns on it).

If it was up to me, I'd be a hell of a lot more strict. Graal may be a game, but how many other GAMES out there are led by a community of CHILDREN with power? There are far too many irresponsible fools in the world of Graal who are "running" their own playerworlds.

Make it harder. Raise the standards, give them FAR ELSS TIME to fix bad things, give them only a certain amount of staff they can have, give them RULES, give them an age limit.

To follow the cliché; Graal has been mocked for ages. We've been called the game ran by n.a.zis. Maybe it's about time we start acting more like a strict military police and less like a bunch of complaining kiddies.

come on guys give nem a break, I often disagree with his actions, but I have respect for him, in that he has one of the toughest jobs on graal. You guys should give him more respect, because he is the only link between the players and stefan and unix...Without him graal would prolly suck
