Review: Galbadia

This isnt an official review, but it should be good enough to rate the server..

This server does that have much to do on it. You start out on a little island with no jobs, or anything except one slash100baddiesandgetafullheart quest, which I got a bow from and not a fullheart so I cant even call it that.

Creativity - 3/10 - The boat is about the only creative thing on this server. They have cannons that shoot fire, and sometimes there is a storm while you are riding on it. The Q Menu is a new style, but it is not very good and could use a background or something.

Levels - 3/10 - The levels are nothing special, most of them are ugly but a few of them are fine. There aren't many levels on this server to judge.. I finally got to the main island, the levels are horrible.

NPC's - 4.5/10 - There were some really neat NPCs like the Clothes designer.. But everything else is cheaply scripted, including the NPCs on the main island. Very bad NPCs.

Quests - 2/10 - The quests I have found so far were just slash the baddies, and had no connection with what storyline there may have been. The quests are aweful.. Try putting a reason for doing them.

Storyline - 0/10 - The intro, where you run down a road does not explain the storyline.. I have no idea what that was about, but it sure didnt have a story to it.

Overall score 12.5/50

Cynical's status: Fail.

I know most people will agree with me after searching through most of the server.

I disagree, highly.
You don't know for sure EVERYTHIGN because you have not seen the entire server. PWAs review servers for days, even weeks before giving a score. Seeing as I was only on for a half hour or so, I would have given it...

Quests: 2/10
Storyline: 4/10 (At least they TRIED to make one)

first you said galbadia, then you said cynical,...plus it's way laggy there...and wtf?! i'll be pissed if they get free staff accounts that are upgraded

I have been seeing the whole overworld, its terrible..

And what you said is still not enough to pass, it has to be atleast 37/50

I never said it shoiuld have been passed.
I still think it's good enough. Take any PW out there now and rate it. It probably wouldn't come close to 37/50.

i thought the levels where alright, like maybe a 6 or 7 /10, and the system they have is pretty neat(when you hit q the items swing around you) but i havent explored much of the server.

NO ONE, to my current standing knowledge, EVER reviewed Galbadia who is on the PWA. Heck, I haven't even HEARD of Galbadia, and I'm pretty sure Jinx hasn't either.

So stefan asked some bum off the street "Hey you, make a server." Supplied the bum with clothes changer, the deutch text and translater, and the Q menu. The bum did everything else.

Galbadia is a nice server. Good staff and nice things in general. You people are jealous because they got a server without a review. Please if you have a REAL reason post. Maybe a staff cussed you out? If not then don't flame it....

I told each staff on that 'this server is stupid and boring' and I got replies like:

and an Admin named c111(sp?) said "than bye" and I am like "Are you going somewhere?" and he disconnected me :-\

It doesn't matter if you have tons of levels. I'd rather have quality over quantity.

All 3349 shoddily made levels. I checked out the "main island" thanks to a "Don't Connect Levels" bug. The levels look like they were from a level generator and then patched up with some random tiles in 5 minutes.

I don't think that Galbadia is that bad, but the staff is horrible, not the higher staffs, but like Destiny, Erica, Jessica, also known as the chick that cybers with people to get jobs.... bleh, sick.

The server isnt that bad, but there are alot of errors, I was getting warped all over the place from bad links........it could be a good server. My problem with it is that it isnt fair that it didnt go through the correct process of getting online, it would not have made it. It is not fair that all these other servers are wating for their PW's to be reviewed in the process that was setup, then other servers just get put up out of the blue with no review at all.

I heard they have a custom tileset which isn't working yet, that might make levels look better. Anyhow, I say give the server another week before you start to lash out at it big time. After all, just because we need (or they need) a new german server does not mean we must substitute quality for it.

I think we have a right to lash out at the server.
They did have a room full of prostitutes, even if it was removed it should never have been there in the first place.
There is young kids who play this game and i don't think it would look too good if a 12 year old is playing and their parents are in the room, and the kid walks into a lvl with girls in beds going "i want you inside me" That's just wrong.

I quit the server when I walked outside of the newbie house, went to the left level, then back and got stuck on top of the newbie house because of a linking bug, that's just SAD

I put this in a new post so it will stick out better.
This is a NEW server, and it has tiling errors EVERYWHERE, all over inside houses, on the walls, outside, etc. It's excusable for an older server to have a few (and when they ae found they are promptly repaired) but this is a brand new server, it shouldntlook "old" yet

I didn't see much of it, but I liked the boat ride and the wavy camera effect, that I'm sure will be emulated by many other people including myself.

I agree , it only makes the foreign Servers look bad and I am sure they have talent and can make good servers in other countries besides the US and Canada , it would have been better to work out all the bugs first before releasing it,be that as it is , give them a little time to fix things and then I will pass judgement on it....

err, I believe that the point is that it never should have gone up with so many errors, and we arent noobs, but we are paying customers
I have seen quite a bit of the server, and it has nice stuff on it, but the fact remains there are alot of errors which take away from the game play because we are getting warped all over the place from bad links and getting stuck all over and have to use unstick me, then have to ride the boat again and try to find the place we were before. Alot of the houses have nothing in them, and most of the ones that do are one room. The translator doesnt work on all levels, and in the shops I cant figure out how to buy things because I either cant read the sign or there are no instructions, or the names arent given for the items.
