I'm in the middle of making a new status system thing because I got bored doing hundreds of weapons. Here's a screenshot:
The interface itself can be replaced by others (using the setstatusskin command). The rupee counter goes onto three lines, three digits on a line, so the window doesn't have to be too long. Icons pop up for when you're in a sparring zone, weapons are disabled, and other such control changes. (I know there's nothing to show the weapon image yet, I'll add that in soon.) It all works (there's actually a button for bringing up a prompt for controlling your player's appearance / settings / etc, but it isn't shown on that picture). The small window underneath can show five different pieces of information: your sword image / strength, your level co-ordinates, your shield power, your glove power, and something else I'll have to think of later. :P
So what do you think of its base skin? Please don't post if all you have to say is "it sux": you're allowed to say it sucks, but you should say how I can make it better!
