GuildCP rewrite - Community Project

Ok, so I'm *finally* able to make changes on the development server...guess that means it's time I stop slacking off :p

I'm making this a community project because having those who want to make a difference directly involved in the creative process will benefit everyone in the end.

Here’s the deal:

• Alkaren will be your liaison; he is leading the player dev team. Everything goes through him.
• The community collectively creates all the web (html) pages that players will see. Different designs, if submitted, will be voted on. The best one will be the one used.
• Each new feature suggested will be voted on (so it’s not bloated with useless crap)
• If there are any PHP/MySQL programmers out there who would like to contribute, inquire with me.

My idea:
When you go into member list you can choose more than 1 person instead of having to choose 1, going down, clicking delete, clicking ok, and repeating the process over and over when you have over 60 members, it's annoying! So instead of round filled circles make it boxes that you can check off so that you can pick more than just 1 (maybe max 20 or so) so it saves you the time and hassle of having to do 20 or more over a longer period of time.

first things first, someone needs to enable web formats to be uploaded through attachments - htm, html, shtml, xhtml, asp, php, and so on.

I have *alot* of experience with PHP+MySQL/PostgreSQL, I'm ok with graphics, but I'm sure there are beter people here, I know xhtml 1.0 standards inside out... If you need any help let me know the details. I'm positive anything Graal needs I can do well.

I hope it won't come to that. At present, I plan to give guild leaders to click a button that reads something along the lines of, "CLICK ME OR ELSE" that will transfer stuff to the new db. This will weed out all the inactive guilds.

(forgive my poor sentence structure, I'm appending junk as I think of it disregarding proper English so blarg!)

So, first on my list of things that must be done is a session based login system that uses player game account and password. sessions must be sql driven in case we ever need to use a load ballancer. Because of this potential load ballancer issue, we can not store variables using php's native session support, this also means that we'll need to pass the session id along to every page. Now I already have one of these that I wrote almost from scratch a few months back. It'll do fine for our needs.

What I really want to see are a bunch of demo templates posted. I'll get me in the mood to do this.

I think you should keep the Graal Online design on the guild pages so it will blend into the site better.
