It would perhaps be useful if people were more mature about it. But we hear people shouting "I'm going to give 1s to everybody with a green bar!" or "Vote bad for me and I'll vote bad for you!" etc. We have some truly pathetic people with high ratings simply because their friends vote for them, or because random people vote them high for no reason.

This is why democracy is stupid.

Well, Kai is right, in some ways, in real democracy, "vote for me and I'll vote for you" doesn't really happen, but bribary is a MAJOR problem, yes.

It's a bad idea to use the rating to decide who will be the future staff, but it will be a fun toy. With the rating system all of the staff will just be whoever's most popular on the message boards, instead of who is the best for the job. The ratings don't even relate to all jobs... if you vote for someone because you think they will be a good FAQ and they wind up being an Events Team member, that will not be good.

Instead of the rating system, why not have primary votes for staff? Maybe get the names of the people who would like to be staff (ET, FAQ, ect.) and let people vote for them. Then the top 10% or so could be tested by existing staff to see if they are truely qualified for the job, and not just the most known players.

i dont like the idea, people would just vote for the most well knwon or popular. unpopular or unknown players would be excluded out and there would never be any "new" staff. remember how people wined about the new police? and they turned out to be good.

I'd like if governments got a crowd of intelligent, corruption-free smart-guys and set them to work organising the country. I dont like how this new system works, someone ask you an opnion, you give it to them, you tell them that its ok, but I dont really like it, they rate you zero and delete the thread

I think it woul be better if you made it where in the game you can click on someone's profile and then vote in there. That way it'll be easier (and faster) for staff to then click on that persons profile and see the rating, instead of having to log into the forums and look for the persons name.

Maybe having a rating scale of 1-10, and in order to be staff you must have an average over 5.

People who want to be staff will have their friends vote for them with 100 points.

It seems pointless.

I personally do not think anyone in power right now should be. Galen is the only person I believe who should be in charge of anything because the rest are way to immature and to young. Most of the Graal community is filled with idiots. I, personally, would like to see a complete admin wipe and restart with some actual people WHO ARE GOOD AT MANAGEMENT chosen.

This system is totally biased to the idiot admins with a fan base already. Nobody really deserving will fare well in this voting system.

Problem with that is , Stefan and Unixmad keep themselves so distant from the Owners of PWs or ppl who would make good Admins , they don't know them or even know who is an Adult and who is not... Prime example of this; it has been in the last 2 or 3 weeks that they found out Npulse is run by Adults not kids....errr we have had Npulse for about a year....They really need to get to know who runs the game for them better.....
