i need help with those G2K1 Edit thingy

its that predifined object

what is the use of it ????

predifined object is a faster way for people to create npcs they use a lot. they were in newfeatures2001.txt.

- in the editor there is a new option 'Predefined npcs';
there are all scripts (text files) listed where the
filename starts with 'defnpc' and ends with '.txt';
you can select the npc, then drag&drop it onto the level
by clicking on the npc outline icon left of the choice
box and moving it onto the level;
in the script file you can insert lines like
#COMMENTS This is a door
for changing the comments that are displayed under the
choice box, and
#EDIT redvalue 1
to let the user change a value in the script:
when you add the npc to the level then
all occurances of the variable ('redvalue') will
be replaced by the entered text (in this case '1'
if you don't change the text)

that is the section from newfeatures2001.txt. hopes this helps

Everyone calls them Predefined objects... I call them Prefabs all the time.... Must be because I spent time on Worldcraft and the terminology stuck.

Im taking a guess here but......

It doesnt work with your current graal, you need the graal compatible with level editing for 2002 type levels that show the terrian as layers to produce hieght! People who have it, 2002 Team, can use that to make patsh while we cant until it is publicly released.

It's used to draw paths on 3D terrain...but it only works when 3D terrain is enabled (ie a gmap is loaded)...other than that, it's useless to you
