Money, ahh yes. It's a shame Classic has an almost hyperinflated economy.
Now, story time!
I figured I would try out G2K1 and see why everyone either loves it or hate it (two extremes, hardly any mediocre responses). Got to a place they call Dustari kingdom, I think. Nice castle and everything. I was asking some guy whether he knew where the torch was, since it was apparently relocated. He wouldn't answer. I got bored and started attacking him. After the second or third time I killed him, he says, "Tenjin. You're the idiot that stole Brad's idea." "If it was anyone, it would be Sting, and he didn't steal it to my knowledge," I responded. He then started attacking me after I called him a "genius," but I had a bit more health than him, so I emerged victorious (about two times before I finally died). "Owned, son," I declared, as any good Classic Graalian would say to a badly-defeated enemy. "Good job at PKing idler," I tossed back. I started laughing at this point because he was apparently fighting, or at least randomly hitting his keyboard to form an offensive fighting style in-game. This went on and on, he kept running out after throwing an attack towards my companion, Masa, and I. Eventually, it expanded to several rooms within the castle. But needless to say, I killed him some more before I left with low health like he had attempted several times before.
Bottom line? Yeah, it was probably my fault for killing him in his own kingdom, but since it all reminds me of the "stolen ideas" thing, I am just going to say one thing: Great minds think alike. But mainly, if one wants to lay claim on the sparring thing, Classic spawned it all, and the GC team basically got the idea from past sparring leagues (one I remember in particular was Bloodysin's Graal Sparring League) and the popularity of them. But if you're still looking for someone to blame, blame Tyhm; he urged us to start monthly spars. Sting just slapped a name on it. |
