ok i've begun the building what i need are
a Npc scripted *really good* *Extremly Great* *GODL
-> the have to beable to script a turn base fighting style
some GFX artist *really good*
-> has to creat monsters weapons armor and other things
I will be creating levels but i will let ppl try and summit some houses. But i really just want levels to look the same and not have a grand level then a bunch of wilderness so i just want insides not all will be accepted if they don't match the area them
the world is going to be !BIG x 1K x 1k! since i want there to be alot to exlpore apon and tons of ways to grow. I'll be useing level genterate to do that.

*note only one person on the GFX team *the top* will be featured in the Green mana Temple the others will be honerd in small remote shirnes around the world.*

**note NPC scripter will be featured in the Blue Mana Temple. As much as i'd reather be blue i'm going to be featured in the RED mana temple for Creating the world. It fit is with the story. Red is is the Abiotic facters meaning the ground and stuff. Green is the biotic factors or living and blue are the cycles such as rain and stuff. See how it lie REDs the level maker Green is the life or monsters AKA gfx and NPCs are the cycle catch my drift?

I look in to alot of the work i knew from the bat i couldn' script a turn base style npc. Its a lot of work for one man and if i don't get help its going to fail like all my other attempts. MY problems is i want to work alone but in reallity it takes more than a man to make a server grand. I still want to do some GFX but my goal is to finish it in this life time... If i were to do gfx and level making it would take two years since 1 there are going to be alot of monsters and items and a lot of towns and Temples caves towers. This server is going to be CAlled Lakota since it will bring the best together and make the BEST player server. Where other servers lack moslty in gfx some in NPCs others in Levels. Lakota will Rise above them

1000 by 1000 (the owner must have been drunk when he thought of that)

thats a rediculas size for a server to be
really that would take you years to detaiol and add intrestuing stuff to
making a map that size is just setting yourself up for failure
take graal 2001
thats about 25 by 25
thats a nice size but im sure it would be just as good a little bigger 35 by 35 but really no bigger than that or its just too big
the 200 by 200 server is 8 times as big as g2k1 and the 1000 by 1000 one is 40 times as large
thats just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to big
a) you would never get it finished
b) you would get it finished with like 999 of the levels being plain grass and full of trees
come on quality over quantity
look at graal 2002
the only thing i didnt like about it was the size of it
it took me to long to walk anywhere
it was just too big for my liking

With small maps its all compact and some one can get to one place to another in a couple of minutes. Wheres the fun in adventure in that. I've been to the farthest reaches of Graal and theres nothing there. But In Lakota ,which i don't care if you like the name or Not cuase its suits it well, the point is to go out battle differnt monsters and get items. Your going to walk for ever battling along the way like in most RPGs. Ok so its not reall 1000 by 1000 that was to make my point on how big its going to be which is HUGE. And yes there will be pockets of grass lands here and there but they will be filled with Guild houses. Stadiums. Temples, shrines, Homes, Rest stops, Medical places, Shops, Stables for my latest goal to have Gryffins that you can ride on but they have stamina so you have to walk with them for a while or they die. You get them rom going into certain caves where you battle them first in attempt to tame them. You die the go free but if you have them in a Stable there safe. Gryffins also can boost your power like going ot the towers.

I could make a 1 x 1 server unlimited x unlimited with a bit of scripting and claim I have the biggest server ever.
Though I think people would notice that they keep seeing the same level over and over after a while...

Oasis is around 25x25 I think.. There won't be "draisines" to zoom around the levels either.

Plus it has several islands that you have to travel to by boat.. when I mean have to, I mean HAVE TO (you'll understand soon enough)

It will be easily expandable if I ever wanted to expand it.. no reason to have an enormous overworld with only 1/4th of it being content.

much worse with 1000*1000 = 1000000 levels..
