Wait a sec... state of Kingdoms on 2K1?

Hmm...

Since Graal 2002 will have the same Kingdoms as 2k1... what will happen to the 2k1 versions?

Obviously the Kingdom leaders are going to be busy working their new territory on 2k2 to worry very much about 2k1 after launch.

Have any of the Kingdom leaders given this much thought?

When most of the Kingdoms have moved on to 2k2, just how many interesting things will there be to do on 2k1, hmm? Not much if you ask me! This needs to be brought to the table.

The obvious answer is that they will continue to coexist but I don't think that's the best solution.

Also while I'm on the soapbox here... I just want to say how much Graal 2002 is a horrible name. Also, I always thought Graal 2001 was a very uncreative name.

Stefan should go with Godspeed's idea and call it "Graal: Kingdoms" or something.

From what I have heard,
they will move to 2002, and be inactive, or destroyed, on 2001. Which will make it even more desolate.

why not rename 2002 like "Graal: Fate of Kindoms" or since 2002 you play as a pirate "Graal: Destiny of Pirate"

why can't 2001 and 2002 have better names?
Names can be important marketing tools, and they sound better than just numbers. :-/

Is the name complaint minor? Yes, pretty much, on the surface. But people go by name recognition on many things, not to mention, Graal 2001 and Graal 2002 sound too similar! It could be confusing and it's easy for people to mistype.

A name change could only be positive if you ask me

What will the state of graal be in 20 years? Will half of it be graal 2k whatever? Graal has the potential of becoming quite the business, but Stefan needs to get things more...organized. I mean, graal compared to other online games you buy at a store is quite unpredictable. On those online games they have swear-word filters, and people that manage and make sure there is no hacking etc...but on graal there is none of that.

Hm... Karakaze, I have no opinion on. The kingdoms are very much integrated into the game and creating a new one may be nigh impossible. But you can always have a roleplaying guild. Is there anything wrong with that?

Corporate sounding? Yeah, I'll agree with that. Is that bad? eh. Maybe.

I think I will try and do a little engineering project of my own. See if I can shape the future, so to speak. I've never tried before.

I think there should be open caves and houses to roleplay with outside kingdom walls. That way roleplaying guilds CAN interact etc.

YES! Kingdoms shouldn't get all of these fancy gate and defense system NPCs...they think RP'ing is giving yourself a fancy name and hiding behind your kingdom gate, teasing onlookers... RP'ing has changed from what I remember, playing dungeons and dragons, or doing text-based online RPGs. It used to be that you used your imagination to put yourself into an imaginary world, but now on graal, it is nothing of the sort.

Personally I love D&D it's fun as hell I love to go with a party of warriors and slay the monsters and gain levels and stats that's the stuff I like in online games, that's why I like Providence and Valikorlia so much :X

People just join the kingdoms for the special NPCs and the tag to show off to all there friends,
Most of teh dang dsutari members dont even know how to RP..
even Kamuii at times.....

I bet you, someones gonna say "OH DAER THE BOMY MOON IS RADIOACTIVE" and it will blow up, making graal 2001 a baron waistland for all the newbies to run around and frolic in the boiling radioactive puddles.

Graal 2001 is crap.
It will always be crap for now on

3 months after graal 2002 is released,

The kingdoms how they were before should not come back, or be created.

Maybe a group of rpers would slowly turn into a community or kingdom.
Instead of someone just deciding they will create a kingdom, and asking 20 people to join.
