Money for start

it seems that starting probably the most difficult thing on graal 2001 server,
why don't give a starter player a starting money enough to make earnings or probably make them to choose the starting tools to start the living(eg. got axe at the start of the game)

or maybe make factories or privatly owned mines, that rich players control, and they pay the workers(i.e. Newbies)

Make a free money making system that is simple and fun (Unlike the rest). Then they can grow from there.

bomys need 20 for anchor and 10 for net 1
and humans 20 for rod and 10 for bait 1, right?

30 would be too much, maybe 15.

Newbies would be automatically picked on, and will lose their money. They wouldn't know the importance of money in g2k1.

Newbies are given the basics of Offense (Sword 1) and Defence (Shield 1).
They should also get the basics of Economy (Fishing Rod and Bait 0). It'd only be good for 1-pound fishes or so, but it'd give them the chance to work their way up to Bait 1...without trying to run under a dying player, I mean.

Using Tyhm's logic here, it should now be very clear that newbies need a way to make money from minute one. The pole and bait 0 sounds great, biat 1 only costs like... 10 gralat? It wouldn't take them long to get that, and once they do, it's pretty easy from there.

Maybe they could use a small branch for a fishing pole, and maybe a flower for bait... (rod 0 and bait 0)

We cant give newbies money at start for this reason (I believe this happened in the VERY begining of newmain)
player gets money
player gives money to friend
player resets account
Rinse and repeat =p

I like the idea about fishing for the begining money...
but like I would have to say you have to catch the fish with your hands. And you have to get them until you have enuff to get the fishing rod + bait 1

so then they just dont start out with money and do what cloudx said.
so they have to work for there money still

I think players should sponsor newbs... that would make it alot funner and easier to play... so no one has to complain, like if I have money and a newb comes on, I give em enuff soo he can mine and that kind of stuff

they could exploit it by using the money and reset over and over again while giving their money to other people... i think we should make it items(untradeable) instead... =)

Newbies DO need to start with supplies. Bare minimum is better than none, because then you can actually work your way up. The only other ways to get money from the beginning are to PK (which I don't practice) or beg/borrow (which makes you seem like a jerk). You don't have to PK to have fun on graal. I like sparring, but cold-blooded killing is another thing. There should be a more moral way of starting out rather than being forced to steal like a common thief. However, the idea of experienced people helping those less fortunate than themselves out of their own good will is just fine. If I actually had a way to make a living, then I would be happy to help others who can't yet. Anyway thanks for hearing me out. I know I can be long winded.
In the mean time, is there ANY other way to get enough gralats to start working?

Heres an idea.
In start house, you pick up an axe.
The axe will be used for chopping down trees without any apples.
They use the wood to build a fishing rod.
Get free worms from skop
Catch 1-2 pound fish

You could go around foraging for seeds for trees, grow the trees, cut 'em down, and get your rod. You wouldn't be able to get more seeds. Then, you go around the shores of g2k1 looking for worms, then you find 'em, then you tie it up to your rod and you go fishin'!

In the begining you get a lil card called anewbie pass wichj is good for a metal axe and wood hammer or aFishing rod and bait one! LoL... A lil awkward and if anyone takes this seriously they should inform there doctor that somethng is worng and they dont know what it is. lol

Some good ideas there fellas.
I think that we do need a fishing rod to start and a bait.
The worms idea by omni-m00gle is also an excellent idea!!!
